Thx for the reminder, Jim. You are being ignored also.

If you think that bothers me, you'll be disappointed...as far as I'm concerned, using the ignore feature says more about the person doing the ignoring than the person being ignored. There's an old saying that is appropriate - if you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

To answer your question....loyalty to the pilot profession and Cpt's authority......East or West.

As to the second part of your comment.....just like my ex, I have learned to distance myself from negative people in this life.....they just bring in trouble.

Loyalty to captains authority is how people get killed. Do you guys never have classes on causes of accidents? No wonder you guys are unsafe. Have you missed this new thing called CRM and crew concept? It has been around for a few years now. Are the captains you fly with more godlike or dictators types? If your captain tells you he has the authority to fly into a mountain will you be loyal to him all the way to impact? Captains authority does not imply ultimate authority or knowledge.

Maybe some of you east F/O's need to tell your captains they are not aviation gods and to stop damaging aircraft.

BTW if you don't like being around negative people. One why are you here there is nothing positive about this board. Two how do you stand being around yourself?

Odd how Move is reviled - someone called him the enemy - but Clax, apollo, luvthe9, and a few others get positive votes from some of their fellow easties for their mindless drivel/attacks...

Jim
Not to mention how many mindless votes your post got JG! MM!

LMFOA, "SAFETY FIRST" Glad to see you are onboard!MM

Is this the part where AA buys the east and sells the west to Republic/Skywest?
Don't forget that AA will happily give the East doh without restrictions because they realize how special and entitled the East is. They also do it for "loyalty" to the profession and in hushed reverence for Captains Authority.

I don't pay much attention to that. My reputation score is sufficiently high and has been since well before this seniority clash that I have no worries. It's just amusing that some of the people who consider Move as vile or whatever give positive votes to NosumClaxapolluv9MM posts.

One must remember that there's loyalty and blind loyalty. Loyalty is backing the captain up when you think he's right and telling him when you think he's wrong. Blind loyalty is thinking that the captain can do no wrong - we're all fallible. Loyalty results in the safest operation while blind loyalty lets the captain screw up because "he must know what he's doing."

In aviation, it's easy to confuse the two since people at the level all of us reached or will reach rarely make bad mistakes, and only when something bad happens do you know whether you were loyal or blindly loyal (or screwed up as badly as the captain by not recognizing the danger - unlikely but possible with 2-3 highly trained/experienced pilots).
