US Pilots Labor Discussion

Thanks. Good to be back. Parker has us working like dogs in the office. Looks like the east is going to Alaska Airlines and the west is going to be standalone again.

Good. Great news. Makes us all happy, and hopefully gets you a recall to somewhere other than the 190 out East. Win win. And we can take back over the 20% of our flying that you are doing. Winning.

Phoenix fortress hub should do well in this economy, with all its booming growth and real estate appreciation. That and the tie in with Las Vegas and Hawaii traffic should set you up for years of success to come.

The company seems to be ceding territory to SWA, perhaps a private deal with Parker and Kelly? They back off PHL and our east, go after DAL in ATL with those nice yields and fares. We give them the west. Either way, the west made some very bad moves with the impending Kasher pay increase. Who will negotiate for them? USAPA will surely try, but Parker will not be in the giving mood after this one. More from Bill Wilder...........

It may well be true that now that USAPA is the representative “there is no one to negotiate with” for the West pilots. The East MEC raised that very danger to the West MEC during its efforts to settle the dispute (including the Wye River) effort as the reason why the two MEC’s needed to resolve the dispute. Again, though, the West MEC refused to heed that warning and engage settlement negotiations.

Your MEC was warned by ALPA also, and you chose your course. How are you damaged, when you chose to not participate in an internal union dispute? Your choice, and not a wise one at that......

Loyalty to captains authority is how people get killed. Do you guys never have classes on causes of accidents? No wonder you guys are unsafe. Have you missed this new thing called CRM and crew concept? It has been around for a few years now. Are the captains you fly with more godlike or dictators types? If your captain tells you he has the authority to fly into a mountain will you be loyal to him all the way to impact? Captains authority does not imply ultimate authority or knowledge.

Maybe some of you east F/O's need to tell your captains they are not aviation gods and to stop damaging aircraft.

BTW if you don't like being around negative people. One why are you here there is nothing positive about this board. Two how do you stand being around yourself?

Ah yes, I should have known that you would blow this all out of proportion like you usually do.

That is probably the dumbest post you have made. We all know where the line is on following blindly and being dedicated to your profession.

Quit trying to be a drama queen....you suck at it.

I heard the east 75's are for sale. Where does that fit in to your grand plan?

I "heard" that the entire west operation is for sale to Mesa.

We all "hear" a lot of things out on the line.

What's your point?

Aside from that, why in the world would the company sell the very aircraft that are earning it the most money, i.e. transatlantic? Do you think they will cut off the profit flow just to make the west idiots happy?

Thanks. Good to be back. Parker has us working like dogs in the office. Looks like the east is going to Alaska Airlines and the west is going to be standalone again.

Really? Did you read that on the internet? Or did you just "hear" it somewhere?

Must be true, then.

(Of course, yours is an absurd statement, but that's no surprise. That doesn't mean you should stop hoping, though.)
