US Pilots Labor Discussion

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut....

You are getting warm 320. Not quite there yet. But as you have already deduced, the main reason Seham is now on the outs is that Cleary did not want to be told "No." That and a certain very randy Officer canoodling with the hired (previously fired!) help. Thus the smoke screen of bad billing and theft. Can you say "yet another lawsuit" coming? Only the tip of the iceberg (Titanic reference intentional.)

I only believe about 10% of what you post, but that is 9% more than what USAPA Comm is putting out lately.

For the first time in a very long time, I am listening to you.

RR

Yesterday's BPR telephonic conference was cancelled due to lack of quorum. USAPA's update said that the BPR members who did not participate did so intentionally. Cleary has called for a special meeting on the 4th, two hours prior to the scheduled BPR meeting.

USAPA's financial condition is becomming an issue. There is dissension in the BPR and possible scandal within the HQ Honchos.

I have an idea for bringing in more revenue. Have cameras at the BPR meeting, start a reality show and call it Real Union Pilots of Charlotte.

Piedmont;
I saw the same message. Here are just some of my larger concerns:
  1. We have now been spent into a financiall. hole (not becoming an issue, it is a definitive issue).
  2. Our "lawyer" of record is on his way out the door with over 10 million dollars of our money, AND has failed to produce anything but DELAY.
  3. We have ZERO dollars set aside for the next MERGER, and are clearly NOT PREPARED.
  4. Our airline's CEO (for the past 5 years) can not utter a sentence without the use of "consolidation" & "merger".

Cleary is good at a few things: Spending money that we don't have, deception, accusations, and fogging up what was promised to be transparent union activities. Until such time that a majority of our pilot body stands up and demands better....this is all we will get.

We have three choices: Do nothing and watch our "union" spend itself into oblivion, stand and change the existing union, or wait until things are so bad that we have no choice but to vote in another CBA.

Wait a minute. Which is it? Cleary is reincarnation of Hilter, or as RF says, the best thing to happen to the west. Just a short time ago I had a post that had a bunch(you?) of westies jumping on the "Cleary is the best!".

You guys are a little bi-polar. "Bular and buddies take care of the east" then "Bular and buddies are going to smack the east". "Doug will take care of us" no "Doug screwed us!". "Parker said US would liquidate" then "Parker can't be trusted. He says what fits today". "The 9th judges were nuts!" or "When you guys get a ruling you don't like, the judges are nuts".

Can't you guys stay on script?

p.s. This not a message to say all is well with USAPA. Looks like a mess to me, just tired of the hypocrisy. There was a movement to recall Cleary over a year ago, but west guys didn't know if it was better strategy for winning the Nic to keep him. You made you choice, a little late now.

Did you see any clear indication regarding the status of the Ford Tauruses? Will there be a resolution calling for an assessment to preserve the Tauruses?

Does USAPA require the BPR members to be wearing their uniforms during telephonic conferences?

relax,,, a couple of reps wanted to take a stand and make a ponit as they could with the late email of the conference call.
nothing will hurt .... agenda items added to the meeting on the 4th at 0800 AM.... no big deal.

if they want to play.....

crazystnic,

In PHL we will be watching what our one rep that refused to participate in the call will be doing on the 4th.

Hate

clear,

Team Tempe doesn't want a contract. Deep down Dougie is a bar room brawler. He always plays the nice guy on the crew news.........right? He has loved every minute of this. Cheap labor. Most of us in the east have seen this show before. Team Tempe is about to get clocked in the bar fight. A joint contract will cost this outfit 400 to 500 million dollars per year. We know they don't want a contract. A win on LOA 93 for the east will be absolutley devistating for the west. I am really looking forward to the east attrition and my yearly 3 percent pay raise every May 1.

Hate

Hate, you are correct. Parker will be rocked incrementally back by successive wins on the East Front. He is waiting news from the lines on the Kasher War. This will be the first move of the trenches forward and the East Pilots will advance. Then Judge Silver will already affirm what the 9th said. She has absolutely no other choice or the 9th will straighten her right out. The next victory will be in the South, where the judge will not give Tempe the injunction. Then we move on the company for harassing a labor organization for no reason other than selective harassment. Cleary will soon be recognized as General Grant was in 1863. Emerging from the specter of war, in victory. The tide is very surely shifting towards the East Pilots. Any division such as that being shown in certain councils, will not be tolerated, as we move even more forward with the successive victories. Then the final moves will be to bring the 190 F/O group up in pay, and then get the West Pilots their pay raises from Parker. This shows anyone the East pilots have always been fair in seeking the West their pay, in spite of the DAMAGE they inflicted in their poorly advised actions...............

According to a recent email sent out by USAPA, all notices were sent out in a timely manner.

The Board and Officers were sent email notification of the conference call Saturday morning at 11:55 AM ET (in excess of the 72 hour minimum notification)

President Cleary commented that based upon emails he received prior to the call, it appeared there was an intentional effort to deny a quorum under the auspices that the conference call's phone number and password was distributed approximately 5 hours in advance, rather than the 24 hours in accordance with UOM Section 3, III (A) 3, which addresses scheduling, notification and procedures of electronic meetings of the BPR.

Call in phone number and passwords will be emailed to participants at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.

President Cleary has called a special meeting of the Board of Pilot Representatives on October 4, 2011 at 0800, preceding the regular scheduled meeting of the BPR that same day, to address this agenda item

And youll work him over with a number 14 is he steps out of line? Sounds like even your own are getting tired of the Cleary game.

If Kasher comes calling, Cleary is totally victorious, Obviously, Leonidas will have wasted all their remaining funds on another ridiculous mailer with illegally obtained addresses.

Kasher comes calling? Calling for what? A date with one of your officers? They seen to like tapping the help.

And the addresses were legally obtained as can be seen by a lack of litigation on the matter. Even Cleary can't get a hearing off the ground regarding this guys and the three are still making more than most of you without setting foot in an airport!,,
