Tell ya what BS - why don't you post the east's "proposal" at Wye. (hint: it started with DOH)
Interesting what even your hero stated toward the end:
I view the extreme positions on both sides to be self-destructive. It is apparent that by its actions to this point (leaving aside the DFR issue), that USAPA has only further harmed the effort to resolve these issues and allow the US Airways pilots to move on as a united group.
So what say you BS - is Wilder right or is USAPA "the best money" you've ever spent. Your hero seems to disagree with that.

What my HERO has said, is the Nicolau was an unfair award. And, it did start with DOH, but it moved off it. Then the West walked. So much for further compromise. The West walked, with the clear warning ALPA was in clear danger of removal. And with its' removal so would be the West MEC removal. And, the West was clearly warned, of the danger of no compromise. They walked. So-despite all of this, there is a compromise available, somewhere in between. I would imagine both East and West might be capable of compromise. I don't buy for one minute the argument the West has no voice at all. They have demonstrated their ability to communicate and organize many times. Leonidas, is the voice. They better get that voice back, and both sides need to get real, or this goes on forever.

We can debate all the legalities you like. The reality is there is an intractable dispute. The West extremists waive their arbitration award and shout “give me your job.” The East extremists scream “date of hire” and there is no resolution.
It’s stupid to go on and on about the “finalities of award” when the reality is you have to get an agreement to resolve the dispute. The judge’s order solves nothing because Judge Wake can’t order to East pilots to vote for a combined CBA. If they vote no to avoid implementation of the Nicolau Award then the dispute won’t be resolved.
So that’s the decision both the East and West have to make. Stand in your separate corners and yell your useless slogans, “date of hire” “Nicolau Award”–or solve the dispute. Without that, the dispute looks like it will go on and on.

It may well be true that now that USAPA is the representative “there is no one to negotiate with” for the West pilots. The East MEC raised that very danger to the West MEC during its efforts to settle the dispute (including the Wye River) effort as the reason why the two MEC’s needed to resolve the dispute. Again, though, the West MEC refused to heed that warning and engage settlement negotiations.
