I haven't posted here in years, am now retired, and have no dog in this fight. Life is good and I'm the happiest I have ever been.
I just check back occasionally to see whats happening. It appears that I haven't missed anything. It's still the same old argument of who saved whom, which airline was the nearest death, the settlement was or was not fair, I'm right and you're wrong. Nothing has changed.
To most of us on the outside, all of this is irrelevant. It's a simple matter of one groups refusal to accept a binding arbitration decision, which they had agreed to accept as final and binding, because they did not like the outcome. Any sane being knows that binding arbitration is the last step in a long process where the parties could not reach an agreement on their own. No one has to like the outcome, just accept for what it is, final and binding.
You guys are welcome to continue banging you heads on the walls as usual, while the company continues to enjoy the lowest labor cost in the industry. I'm climbing back into my hole and forgetting about it all. The waters fine and the beers is cold. Life is good!
