US Pilots Labor Discussion

A few would vote for IBT a few for ALPA a few for SEIU, a few for USAPA and in th e end no one union would have a majority leaving US as non-union. Yippee!

OR the pilots could oust USAPA and replace it with a viable in-house union comprised of moderate east and west who would collaborate with equal input. In the end there would be unity and pilot labor would regain it's relevance and leverage.

Tough choice, eh?

But the overwelming majority of the east would vote USAPA. Leaving USAPA still in the drivers seat. I dont know where the IBT thing started but NOBODY Ive talked to would vote for it. I just wanted your opinion on it.

You didn't ask me but I would say absolutely not. Most of us realize that usapa will be the quickest way to get Nicolau resolved so that we can move on. Otherwise, why would the easties be so hell bent on IBT?

USAPA fears the vote of the east pilots so much that they will deny them (and us) until they are forced to allow it or forced out. You don't know how your fellow pilots will vote. Even when passions were high post NIC, the vote for USAPA passed by a razor thin margin.

ALPA lost because of the same "in-the-bag" assumption that you are demonstrating. Had they assessed their real jeopardy, they would have given it an all hands on deck effort, USAPA would have been defeated and Prater would have consolidated both MECs and signed the joint contract.

The recalled would still be recalled, the upgrades would still have upgraded and everyone would be earning considerably more money by now.

But the east prefers to cling to a moldy and bacteria-ridden security blanket called USAPA that never has, nor ever will, provide security.

As for your theory of sinking this forum, you've overlooked one important detail. Notice the ratings lately. Guys like Jetz and Move2CLT get double digit pluses while guys like you get some major red marks. Looks like there are far more west supporters than east. Which means you leaving will have little effect on traffic.

Go back and look. The entire policy changed and they let a bunch back on. Wait until you guys get slammed by LOA 93 😱 Move 2 was Metro, Noyellowneck and Cactuspilot 1 Jetzz has multiple names. :blink: Watch when Jetzz posts, he is so vain he uses his multiple names to give pluses, and he talks about his ratings all the time. Prater and ALPA did give it their full effort. The dumba$$ west MEC and McIlvenna wouldn't get it together and the East canned ALPA. The West MEC didn't listen to ALPA when they pleaded. They KNEW what was coming. The West is responsible for USAPA and we thank them 😀

1940's? Good for you Pops! That means you will be gone no later than late 2014. I swap aircraft, and will be back through Philly & CLT in late Spring. We can get together and share a glass of Metamucil.

I my self will punch out in the Summer of 2023 (1958). You see we all aren't nearly as young as you think we are. BTW, it's the starting off conversations with "boy" that side tracks our little conversations into what they are.

We will continue our vigil awaiting for justice from the courts. Logically and ultimately the only seniority list will be the Nicolau. I would bet another prune latte that the rumor of splitting up operations & the LOA win for the East are just exactly that....RUMORS.
