Actually, dedicating it to that poor F/A was too soon and very low class..what a way to be remembered... in a stupid union attack video. Sure someopne will soon use his picture as their aviatar. Did they even ask the family for permission? And I usually don't say this about their work, but what a bad, bad video. Never watched a Potter movie yet, so I admit I don't get the humor, at all.

But they are in good company, the CLT reps recently used a picture of a fired guy's family (without his permission) to drum up votes in a domicile election.

Don't know which one made me cringe more, but in both cases the referrals were, well, just in bad taste and out of place. Shame on you all.

The east is compelled to remind the west where the money came from to save themselves, from themselves. The east could have waited a couple of years, after the west went bk and crying for help, but I agree with you, Mr. Lakefield is a real gentlemen and spared the west operation.

The east couldn't have waited a couple of days, let alone years. Clueless.

You sure about that? Maybe you mean the vocal minority. The last time we voted USAPA won by a slim margin. Lots of broken promises and misguided decisions since then. In my opinion a decent contact with the arbitrated list would pass. So would a vote for new representation. I've been listening to the talking points for years. No more talk. Time for action. Pass a contract and when it fails you can claim majority rules again. The fact that a certain dictator will never let us vote on the Nic is all the proof I need.
Truer words were never spoken by an eastie.

Sorry to give that impression.

Even Mr. Parker stated numerous times that A&W would be gone in thirty days without the "merger", US would remain in bk. I see a difference there.

No gloating intended or implied, but, reality is reality and business is business. The east could have done very well without the low margin city pairs they had to cover from the west. The "investors" did very well and would have done better without the west, but, there was that one investor who wanted to cover his west loses. I understand reality, but please try to provide context, also.
Absolutely 100% incorrect. You have that 180 degrees wrong. Parker has stated that US Airways would have liquidated without the merger. AWA would have filed BK. Liquidated means GO OUT OF BUSINESS. Read the LOA 93 transcripts. They say right in there that a going concern letter was about to be issued.

BK on the other hand as you know means you still operate.

The east was done period.

I'll ignore the USAPA comment just long enough to tell you that I'm a Salary Provider, aka Customer.

Frankly I don't give a rat's rear end who saved whom. Facts are facts. Who do you think had the business relationship with Seabury? Hint his last name began with an "L". Who had the relationship with Airbus? US did due to it's status as US Launch Customer. Who was creative enough to secure money from regional carriers? Most don't know it but Mr K. Lakefield was the first to come up with that idea.

One of the ways you can judge and compare the credentials of the 2 CEO's is DUI Convictions. Another way is research the career of Mr Lakefield. Doug is a Putz in comparison, A very good finance guy but a Putz as a leader. The way you can tell he's a Putz as a leader is the existence of this thread.
US Airways was no the launch customer for Airbus. Braniff was. AWA got our airbusses from Braniff and operated airbus several years before US Airways got their first one.

BUT, Parker and Kirby BOTH have stated in recent Crew News that minus the merger, NONE of us would be here right now. According to the money guys, the West was done as well. It was just going to take longer.

They said the same thing about the Cardinals in game 6.

US Airways WAS the Launch Customer of the MAJOR airlines I've seen published many times, It was Stephen Wolf's deal when he took over.

US Airways was the first US major to fly the A-330, I thought. Or maybe the first one to order the 350...I dunno. But Northwest was flying the A320 family long before we did.

I know the A330s were ordered before we took delivery of the first A319. It was a VERY big deal to Airbus.

Just can't admit when you are wrong...

I know of the 3 A320's from Braniff. They still have the Original seats complete with ash trays. And I could be wrong. I do however recall US being called Launch Customer for some Airbus product maybe is was the A-330. US is launch customer for the A350 if it ever gets off the drawing board.

The first A350 keel beam has been layed. Airbus has learned much from the mistakes Boeing made on the 787...the wing box for instance. Boeing had two failures of wing box tests and I was told Airbus redesigned theirs based on that.
