I used to work for Trans States as it was my very first commuter. I left and went to Air Wisconsin which was a MUCH BETTER place all around. USair is not fun to work for today because we are all unhappy. I dont know if they show these commercials back east but here in calif there is a commercial about calif dairy products. Its states "happy cows make happy cheese" we are the cows the employees and we are all very unhappy. East pilots are unhappy with the state of their careers for the last 20 yrs, west pilots are unhappy with the stagnation and being merged with an extremely unhappy group making both groups even more unhappy. East and west F/A are unhappy, east and west Mech are unhappy. It seems that the only ones happy here are management. Why do you think that is??? Dispite all this unhappiness the planes still leave and arrive on time thus resulting in management bonuses. If I were management I too would be very happy. My cows may be unhappy but they still fall in line and get the job done that makes me money.

Kinda makes you wonder now doesnt it??

I think some of the cows need a cocktail of hydrogen peroxide to change their dispositiion.
 
The Nic award may have been a disappointment of major proportions to the east pilots but what destroyed ANY unity between east and west was the east's inability to take that disappointment like men and move on with a final and binding decision. That dishonorable action in itself was the cause of the tremendous disrepect that the west has for the east.

You agreed to the process. You were bound to the result. You threw a tantrum. Who wants to be united with that baby?


That's your spin on this and ALPA National's easy way out. "Dishonorable"? no, just righting a string of ALPA endorsed wrongs, yeah my spin and many others in the East.

Since you don't want to be "united with that baby", so be it. You won't find any objection from the East continuing separate ops indefinitely. The move up mode is back on again and will continue. Enjoy PHX!!!!!!

Heard it, but in the end, there is walk (commute) on the talk.............The A-330 and B-767 is a drug ($$$) that reaches all the way to California and beyond.......Good point MM!!!!!

From the last bid award the junior captain on the 330 is PHL seniority number 452. The most senior west pilot adjusted for today would sit number 697. 245 number from holding bottom 330 captain.

So your BS, BS does not hold up to the facts. Show us what west captain could hold a 330 captain position? Come on you made the statement.

I can tell you without question I have not heard one capt over here say anything about giving up on the Nicolau to commute to PHL to fly the wide body.

All he said was you could hold the equipment.

The one demanding to be a Captain right now is you.
 
AWA was a pretty good place to work.
You guys made it what it is a crappy place to work.
HP passenger service agents had the worst pay benefits and cronyism in the industry US passengers service contract brought them up to industry standard
US east agents had to take a strike vote and treat a strike just to kept from being lower to HP level

I dislike alpa as much as you do, always have. This isn't about alpa. It's about following a process and fulfilling your obligations. Spin and justify your actions any way you can you are still wrong. Enjoy your "move up". In the long run you will be placed just where you belong.

But, hey, I am so looking forward to your next tantrum when denied your "snapback", and the one after that when Silver rules in the DJ, and the especially big tantrum when Parker finally tells you that Nic is here to stay. Does ucrapa have a CIRP to activate? If you were paying attention to the last distance learning you were informed how to use EAP. You guys are all set. Plan B is ready to activate.
 
What can I say to that??? Lets look at something that no one really thought of. I dont see any way around the arbitration so the east mind set is burn time to gain thru attrition. Not a bad plan. They get that upgrade and that pay raise they wanted, good lines and vacation and all is good right? Then there is the time when that a contract is needed and we both know that the NIC is gonna be the list but the east got their upgrade so they are happy now.

Ok here is where it goes bad my friend. That good schedule you love and great vacation with the days off you love will start to peal away as I am more senior and I begin to take that away (not me personally) and it goes on and on. Now your are working weekends 5 numbers above res cant get the vacation you like and now you are pissed off to the highest of pisstivity. One way or another you and I are going to be pissed off at one point in this game. Welcome to mergers class 101!!!

Bet just this one, Well as for us stay pissed off because your going to be for a very long time, BTW wasn't it you that said EAST and WEST would never fly together, a new contract would require new things by management, such as the ability to downsize, scope reduction,etc,etc, besides the NAC and this group will never buy it! I've had the "big picture" for the last 25 years. No "tantrum" here. All is well, Bid published yesterday just sweetens the pot.

when it encouraged the parties to “work something out to meet everyone’s needs.” (Doc. # 39-
