Who is FRANKE AIR, shallow very shallow and clueless!

Shallow? As in the Shallow End of the gene pool where you, Claxon and apollo come from? where family trees have no fork? Yes you are indeed shallow. Shall we add smug and arrogant to the list as well?

Now then, HP was founded by Mike Conway and Ed Beauvais in 1982, taking flight in 1983 with Ed at the helm as CEO. A position he held until the BK filing in 1991 when he was replaced by Mike Conway who left in 1994 and replaced by Maurice Myers. *William Franke rand the company until just before 9/11 when Doug Parker took over.

*having researched 4 different web sites there are conflicting dates and other information as to exactly when Mt Franke began his reign of terror. Either way the point is it's ancient history and has little if anything to do with the events that have unfolded post merger. Others, who worked for HP during the '80's and '90's can possibly enlighten us with the facts as to who was CEO when.

Based upon my information I think it safe to say that few if any HP employees held Mr Franke in high regard. However he is long gone and now irrelevant. Keep living in the past and throwing 20 year old darts and see where it gets you beside older, bitter and angry.

You know there is only ONE thing I hate more than childish behavior from an adult & that is obnoxious arrogance. I'll allow you to determine which category you fall in to.

And you know whats even worse than that. A flip-flopping, know-it-all who just doesn't know when to stop interjection crap info into a topic he knows nothing about.

And, to top it off, you brag on a public forum about mentally abusing a 14 year old.

Nice.

That depends on when you asked them. He called in ALOT of favors from his well-connected friends to keep the doors open at AWA, but once the music faded away, he wasn't much of a caretaker manager.

If Franke was in place for this merger (irrelevant because he wouldn't have gotten anywhere near USAirways) the entire complexion of this ordeal would be completely different. He would have ruled with an extreme iron hand. There would have been no "heritage circle" or throwback paintjobs or deference to DOH boarding. It would have been a "Toaster in the shower" experience for the east and believe me, if they had tried any type of pushback or work action he would have rained fire on them.

Do you get the picture that he was not a pleasant man? But the integration would have taken about a week tops.

AOL shut us down, what are you smokng son? begging for parity we will be making more or should I say HAVE been making more than you since Jan.1, 2010. NIC is done, do you even know what it will take for your "DFR 2" never going to happen, but keep those donations coming in. 😉 😉

Umm..I think everybody who is familiar with this case knows exactly what IT would take for a DFR2, and you right, never going to happen.

IT being a ratified contract with a non-Nic seniority list.

But, just in case it is attempted, IT will have to get past the injunction, so again, you are right, never going to happen.

I wonder how much it cost AOL to have Marty write one letter....$500???...$1000??? who knows, but that one letter threatening suit against the company shut down usapa, likely for good.

One more thing, enjoy that LOA93 pay and work rules, they became amendable on Jan 1, 2010, but instead of trying to get a new contract usapa sold you out so that Cleary and Thuer et. al. could scab others jobs. I am sure they appreciate your support.

You figure out whose side you're on?

The eastern pilots move up their seniority list every day when another eastern pilot retires. This is a DOH progression forward, not the contraption the western try to use. The Niclau is dead. The eastern pilots use DOH. You are incorrect Hawker. You are indeed, clueless on this issue. The western division has DOH on their list, eastern on their list. It is a DOH list everywhere, and it will stay that way in the future if the eastern are smart and stay away from Franke Air and their disciples.

I guess I have to explain it to an idiot scab supporter like you twice.

The east does not have DOH in their list. The east list is a conglomerate of list put together, often through arbitration, and it is NOT in DOH order.

The West on the other hand does still have a DOH list, and will gladly keep it that way until the Nic is implemented.

SWAPA Executive Blog: November 7, 2011

From your SWAPA President, Steve Chase

Fellow SWAPA Pilots,

Today the members of SWAPA and our counterparts at AirTran-ALPA voted in favor of accepting the seniority list integration provided for in Side Letter 10, paving the way for a full integration of flight operations.

AirTran MEC Chairman Special Message: November 7, 2011

November 7, 2011

Fellow Pilots,

It is decided. The Seniority Integration Agreement has been approved. With an 83.58 percent vote of the ATN pilots and an 83.56 percent vote of the SWAPA pilots – both in favor of ratification – our collective hands have extended and accepted Southwest’s offer as to how the pilot groups will be merged.

Looks like yet another integration that doesn't use the "gold standard" of DOH. Another slotting using things like pay, career expectations, and the particular facts of their merger. Go figure! 😉

Once again, each integration turns on its own facts as there is no one-size-fits-all approach to seniority integrations.

I guess the Airtran guys saw the writing on the wall and realized the benefit to them in pay and working conditions. Imagine that.

I find little if any real similarity in the two transactions, but I will play the game.

Both transactions have a smaller group with poor scope negotiated by ALPA merging ( or whatever) with a larger independent union with outstanding scope. The rank and file accept the conditions of the larger group in order to move on and get better working conditions. If PHX, CLT, DCA, or PHL is spun off in the next 4 way (yes, 4 way) any group could find itself in a similar dilemma. Although PHX is going to enter the fray with little or no scope.

I have heard he was an iron fiisted tyrant and brokered precious little BS from anyone. Short term it's often what's needed. Not so sure about him bludgeoning the East Unions. I do agree he would have tried and tried mightily.
