US Pilots Labor Discussion

I think I'll be smoking some extra cash soon from LOA 93, how about you, I didn't think so. With that will no contract, get it. 😛
I think DEC 1st we will see the remake of the classic, "DOH is coming to dinner", this reminds me of the time of WAKE and the failed ADDINGTON, and all the info he denied USAPA entering into discovery, over by APRIL, LOA 93 NINE!

That would be starkly illegal if USAPA abandoned contract negotiations...GET IT????

With such an abysmal track record in the court room, I would think USAPA wouldn't be so stupid.....but then again....
Res, you are an idiot your boss does not want a contract, take that to court. 😛 Get it. Who says abandoned, just might drag on for another 6 years.

I've been as guilty as anyone here of being a smart axx, but this is a serious question: Why do you think this will be over in April? The PHX court is under a judicial emergency(or some term) due to a shortage of judges, right? It took what, a year to get to this point? USAPA is going to fight anything coming from Addington. So why do you think it will be over in April? Is that just your opinion or that of your attorneys. Again, just wanting to hear how you came to that conclusion, not being smart or looking to give you a hard time about it. Thanks.

This judge is known to buzz through things once she gets started. She gets started on Dec. 1 and will settle the DJ from the bench. Things very well could be done soon. Yes, I was at the meeting on Friday.

Nor should they, but they did deserve some consideration for their LOS and got stapled. You can make any argument you like against it, but you will never justify throwing out a pilot's contribution to his employer. And as far as I am concerned, this is the same employer. Just different people running it.

The west Merger Committee offered credit for LOS during negotiations. All offers were met with DOH! Punctuated by a fist pounded on a table.

Fairness is truly a personal perspective. NIC is fair to you because it put you senior to a good number of East pilots. You wouldn't be so happy if the shoe was on the other foot.

As for my retirement....you want have of my 28K a year? Get in line behind my Ex wife.

Driver 😛

The big difference here is that had Nicolau decided on DOH that would have been the end of it. We wouldn't have been happy but we would have accepted it and moved on.

Kind of like Wye River!!!!! 😉

Not at all like Wye River. The west was under no obligation to negotiate after the final and binding arbitration decision. You see, Wye River was pretty much the first time the west stood up, looked the bully in the eye and told him to f%&$ himself. Soon the bully will go home with a bloody nose crying to mommy that it was all someone else's fault.

Just Read the DCA update. Sounds like nothing short of multiple Emergencies on multiple fronts....out of control dictator, lies, espionage, total dysfunction. Not to mention USAPA is effectively bankrupt at this point. It's a pretty dark hole the East has dug. Most are ready to stop digging.

It's going to be a tough spring for a lot of them.

I am a west captain and should DOH ever see the light of day east pilots who were on furlough when the acquisition was announced will be hundreds of numbers senior to me.
If you were a captain when the merger was announced, you will remain a captain through conditions and restrictions.

PI/US merger, 76 captains were protected and stayed so until retirement even though their DOH would not have allowed them to bid into the position.

Your inexperience partially explains your ignorant comments.

You talk as if I did this personally. I didn't. I was expressing support for a group that I feel didn't receive any...no more no less.

i did not mean to say that you personally did anything. I refer to you as a collective group. Your support is commendable. I hope you supported them during the arbitration process as well. Serious question... did you go to ALPA meetings and voice your support for them when the MEC was threatening the recall of the negotiating committee if they proffered any alternatives to DOH? Did you suggest that an all or nothing DOH stance might very well cause the furloughed pilots to have their contribution to the company thrown out if it failed? Did you submit any resolutions to get it on the record?

I'll ask you too - when do you suppose USAPA is going to propose such C&R's???

Now I know you're in la-la land...
