Wow! Great letter, Mike Cleary! A heartfelt plea for compromise which, I am sure, was forced on him by the new attorneys. One question and one statement:

How do you easties feel about the "union" abandoning your DOH mantra?

Thanks, Mike, for cementing the west's resolve against compromise in any way, shape or form.

Just couldnt help himself. He did however manage to construct a 5yr illegal fence. Cant wait to dig the fence posts up on that one.

I told you 4 years ago at dinner that this would take possibly 8 years or so to settle......how far off do you think I will be? PS...last month I worked 4 days (15 hours) and got paid for 81 hours. Weekends and Thanksgiving off this month. Life is good!

You better hurry back to CLT if you want that ride in the Citabria! I just did the annual on it on Monday and i'm gonna put it up for sale so I can buy another house. Hope you're doing well......lets grab dinner again soon.

I think closer to 5.5 to 6 years tops. It is just a shame that that our union has spent over $10,000,000 in the quest for DOH, only to ultimately lose (and lose all that money, time off & contract improvements in 6+ years). The one thing that concerns me most recently is that USAPA and the new legal team are so myopic in cleaning up SSM&P's actions and attempting to get the west to capitulate at any and all costs......IN WHAT WAY HAVE WE FINANCIALLY PREPARED FOR THE NEXT MERGER PARTNER???? Mr. Parker needs this to be done, otherwise why bother filing in court last year for declatory action?

I work pretty much through Thanksgiving. Last trip this month ends the 28th. I will have 87+ hours credit in December & January with about 66 days off (not vacation). Indeed life is good.

I should be through CLT around next April after training.

This is getting good...

Mail to a Charlotte address, a city with it's own Postal Inspector's Office, that involves the Kannapolis Postal Inspector - perhaps mailed from Kannapolis???

"Protected evidence" with a USPS official to testify - but not included in the charges filed with the court (but posting on a webboard was included as a "crime"...).

This seems to be painting a picture of something...maybe that the story contains more feces than the mailing...

Matlock would be proud Jim, guess all those afternoons in front of the TV paid off.

The east sent the poop to build their case. It's pretty obvious.
OK, serious questions:

- IF, (and that's a big if at this point, since nothing has been proven yet) but IF this turns out to be true, what does is mean for USAPA's credibility and ability to go forward?

- IF it's true, will any of the posters here admit they were wrong when they were trying to prematurely convict the defendants on the west?

- IF it's true, will any east posters who may be on the fence about USAPA decide to bail on their support?

Serious question for you.

Why would USAPA offer a seniority compromise if they are sure of an LOA 93 win?

I suspect that it's because a USAPA win on LOA 93 (significant pay raises) would provide a game changing amount of financial leverage with regard to ongoing contract negotiations with Team Tempe and it would also be a pay rate that quite a few West pilots would be interested in obtaining also.

The give and take (lubrication) which a USAPA win on LOA 93 could afford, might just represent enough money to craft a contract that could be acceptable and ratifiable by a substantial majority of both the West and the East pilots.

Unfortunately, even an LOA 93 win for USAPA would not necessarily motivate the company to negotiate an acceptable contract with the pilots. As bad as they would hate having to pay the East pilots unfrozen pre-LOA 93 pay, I doubt if they would be too excited about paying the increase to the West pilots also.

It would require a complicated, committed effort of all three contingents to achieve an acceptable agreement. Not very likely!

As an FYI, the USPS classifies fecal matter as a Hazard Class 6 and prohibits sending feces through the mail except for medical or veterinary purposes.

So why wouldn't USAPA have pursued this more vigorously? They could have gotten the postal inspector involved in this and made it ugly for the RICO defendants.

But, for some unknown reason, USAPA didn't want anyone potentially finding the true sender of the mail.

As many of you already know, the BPR officers aren't beyond impersonating others via fake emails so I wouldn't put it past them to try this.

If USAPA wins the LOA 93 "final and binding" grievance does US Airways have comply with the Arbitrator's Opinion & Award and pay the higher wage rates?

And to add, kirby/parker stated in a recent crew news that negotiating with the usapa brain trust is near to impossible with usapa always over reaching with demands for just the simplest matters concerning company/pilot concerns.

Mediation again concerning seniority will not be possible with this current corrupt union...A Federal Court of Law with an injunction implementing the NIC as section 22 will be the ONLY WAY FORWARD!
