US Pilots Labor Discussion

From the sound of the east negotiating team, you could actually come out with something better than the NIC if you do agree to sit down with them. 😀

I know that was TIC, but there is actually a lot of truth to it.

The NAC is only concerned about getting the east a better contract. They are gutting our contract in order to put more money on the east.

Tell us how or what do you have to offer that is better than the Nic? What have you got to offer?

The east wants all of the money and all of the seniority.

Can you show all of us how the West contract is getting "gutted" by the NAC's latest proposal to the Company?

Thanks

6. vacation bidding (every pilot guaranteed 1 week of what they want)

8. Check airman override pay ($1500/month vs. pay per event)
9. Long layover pay guarantee (24 hr RON = duty period)

This is what we know about. We don't even know what the language says that will screw the west even more.

You'll never pass a random drug test if you keep smoking that stuff.
The Kirby proposal is about $32,000 per year for east pilots. While the Kirby is worth about $5000.00 per year for a west pilot. Is usapa capable of getting more than the Kirby? If so $50,000 is very real.

$32,0000 compared to $5000. And you guys want us to give up seniority too!

No way, No how.

Tell the west what is it you east guys have to offer? How is it you are representing the west fairly?

$32,000 (which is not $50,000) is for a fraction of the east pilots who are block holding Group II captains. Most captains nearing retirement right now would get the same 3% pay raise that the west pilots would get (if even that) since out 757/767 pilot hourly rate is marginally higher than the west captain rate. The A330 captains would see the 3% Kirby, which amounts to less than $5,000.

Is USAPA capable of getting more than the Kirby? The company isn't even negotiating. They show up at the table and scoff, mostly. They know that USAPA has no support from 1/3 of its pilots, so the west intransigence is keeping USAPA from moving forward. It's what you want out west, and so be it. But don't handcuff the union in one breath, and berate them for not having the pilots behind them in the next.

It's as much your (west, in general) fault as it is anybody else's that Kirby is all that is on offer.

Yeah, it took a while. I was rightfully suspended for calling you what I did, twice. Thing is, they made it permanent by mistake instead of the 3 days. It took a while to get an answer from someone, but a moderator took care of it.

For those that enjoy the eloquent prose of move2clt, let me explain my comment to him. One of our posters had a tragic family event. I sent move a pm asking him to take it easy on the guy. Big mistake in giving him any credit as a human being. He profanely replied that he would not, then promptly came to the forum and goaded the guy. That's what we are dealing with. My assessment of you has been confirmed, but it was against the rules to say what I did. I support the moderators in their actions and hope they continue. As a matter of fact, haven't seen res jude in a while.
Breeze needs to fight his own battles. If he wants to post personal info on these boards then that's his choice.

This is a web board, not church. You're no saint either as you've been given time off a number of times in the past.

No one cares why you got suspended.

Just watch your mouth next time.

And as for what we're dealing with - a group of east pilots who do not abide by agreed to arbitrations.

So save it.

You guys don't care about much beyond yourselves and the same goes here. Especially when it comes to your personal lives.

If breeze puts it up it's fair game until he goes running to the mods to make it stop.

You are incorrect.

The Kirby is $122 million. Parker has stated that just to bring the east to parity with the west is $100 million. That leaves $22 million for raises among both groups. The east is 2/3 so of the $22 million the east gets $114.6 million to be divided by 3200 east pilots. Average east pilots gets $32,700. Now if you think that some will get less. That means some will get more.

Of the $122 million offered it leaves $7.4 million to be divied by 1500 west pilots. $4900. The Kirby was a 3% raise for the west even of we kept everything and just added pay. After taxes on average it is $130 per pay check. Now you increase our health care cost and we lose min fleet and block hour mins.

Hell No! We are not going to see the east get over 90% of the contract and try and steal seniority. So far we have seen nothing from the NAC that gives the west anything. It only shift money to the east.

Your fault. I read all the western pilots rationalizing away why they did not support pay parity. Lie in the bed you and your Army made. Now you wonder why there are problems going forward. Let's hope that arbitrator gives the eastern group a huge raise and seals your fate. Enjoy your crappy crew meals. Nobody in their right mind would ever want to combine in a contract with your group.

Perfect example of AWA hiring standards.
