US Pilots Labor Discussion

Good point......and separate ops keeps it that way. Either way, the West pilots are being left behind.
Heh, heh. Good one. A few of them are too stupid for cat food. Must be that retirement community mindset they have in PHX.

Oh, wait, did I say that? Heh, heh.

I hate to break it to you, but you've already been left behind. Look at your contract compared to the rest of the industry. Trying to harm the west is hurting the east. Did you really think that trying to marginalize the acquiring airlines pilots would come without consequences? You're threatening to pull the trigger, but the gun's up against your head.

You're threatening to pull the trigger, but the gun's up against your head.

It's unfortunate that you guys haven't learned that if the trigger is pulled, whether the gun is up to your head or mine, we both go. What do we care at our ages, we have less to lose than you guys.....go ahead and keep that hard line you have drawn.

Hopefully Parker's ego is bigger than both of us and will make a deal with USAPA before it is too late.

Before it's to late for what? You guys to cry on his shoes. Parker has an injunction so you are not going to do anything. The only deal Parker is going to make with usapa is to take his foot off your throat.

Big talk from the same group that has done nothing your entire careers but talk. Full pay to the last day. How did that work out? At your ages if you have nothing to lose might as well leave now. Move out of the way so those junior guys can have your seat.

Yes it is a hard line. The same line we drew 6 years ago. You see we follow through. When we say something we do it. All I see so far from you guys are empty threats.

I would think Parker would remove his foot if a merger puts another $16 mil in his pocket....he has no loyalties.

Must have been a typo....didn't you mean "so us junior guys can have your seat?"

Yeah, we both have our tough talk......I don't think anyone has blinked yet.....it's still a stand off while a little chess game is going on in the background.

At what age does one finally understand the difference between seniority and longevity? You guys were drowning and Parker threw you a life jacket. In hindsight, he should have thrown you an anvil. I would have. 😛

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I'm not encouraging you to pull the trigger, I know we will be harmed as well.

As for crossing the line in the sand. Do you really expect us to believe someone like Cleary wants to come to an equal ground. He's just posturing for use in his own agenda.

Using the NAC to give away everything in the west's contract to benefit only the east is dangerous. I'm not talking about the threat of a lawsuit, I'm talking about forcing the west to take away the east's leverage and siding with management. It will end with a poor contract or worse. I'm sure most on the west would prefer not to be forced into that kind of position. We can defend the seniority award in the courts, but gutting our contract is going to turn ugly for all. Just like you said whether you pull the trigger while the gun's against your head or turn the gun on us, we both get hurt. We're connected, because we're all part of the same big happy f$%^ing family.

Yes we were floating and they were sinking, but... Once the holes in the bottom were patched and the water pumped out of the bilge, their boat is nicer than ours.

I'm afraid throwing them an anvil(ie no merger) would have meant Southwest would have outbid us for all the left over good pieces, meaning we would gain nothing and be facing a stronger Southwest.

It's the other way around. USAPA needs the deal before its too late.

So you don't call Cleary asking for compromise a blink?

Where's that cramdown?

Good, me too.

He has my vote as well.

Good enough for me, even being on LOA93. And you are on LOA93b for a long time to come. Keeping separate is the best thing I could hope for. Fine with me.

Doesn't fit in with the AOL narrative. How else will AOL get revenue from the rubes?

Yeah, we may have been silly to let Clearey, et. al. in, but, our strength is that we can correct. Unlike the west, caressing and licking their useless lottery ticket. Sad, really.

You could have had it all by now, but, you were greedy and wanted it all from the beginning. Now, you will likely get nothing. Reads like a classic novel, inevitable.
FL430 seems to think highly of Cleary. Which one of you is wrong?

Said the guy on LOA93.

If you had a choice, you would be smart to live under LOA 93 just to get East scope. But you (now) have no choice. Even if nothing happens with U and AMR, the wheels are now in motion for musical chairs.

Do you think it was a "co inky dink" an olive branch was just extended to you for some labor peace? But you chose to do the Wye River shuffle…. and listen to Marty and a 2003 new hire.
