US Pilots Labor Discussion

I agree that my opinion of the Nic doesn't matter. I agree about the integrity part. Here's another thing people with integrity do: back up claims made against others with facts. "The fact that you don't agree with Nicolau's list doesn't justify the treacherous actions you and the other Easties have taken against the West." Okay, go ahead and show my treacherous acts.

Let's say the Nic is the list and we merge with AA. I'm pretty sure I'm senior to you on the list. So, your wishing ill on me by the APA having their way will be worse for you. A stroke of genius.

Pi,

You are making a false assumption.

Just as AWA hired alot of furloughed east guys, we also hired a whole lot of furloughed American guys. ex-TWA mostly.

So, a pilot junior on the Nic might very well already have an American number.

You could be right. I made that assumption based on my memory of a previous conversation with him.

Of course, if he is furloughed from AA he should be junior to all of us, right? Isn't that a west theme?

Who knows what a SL with AA would look like. Thing is, if it is bad for me, it will be bad for a lot of westies. Anyway you cut it. 25 years longevity, A320 C/O, at about 50% of the Nic award.

Most of us haven't trusted any of them for a while. It was the west that said that Hogg and Bular were taking care of the east.

Who do you think moved the West block hours, and called for the 175 10% of the West to be furloughed?

Now that would be a fellow with an interesting choice in a possible aa/us merger. Wonder if he will get to wait till the 3 way merger fight is over to pick which "pilot" he wants to be?

No idea but don't think it would be them. If we were both going to be cut to around our min fleet, wouldn't that drive who was furloughed?

That is my point, West also has min block hours, and the company took more hours from the West than was allowed, and based the furlough numbers on the below min block (min fleet) requirement.

Then the west wins the only significant grievence usapa has won to date proving the company violated or minimums, but too little too late, the furloughees are already out the door.

This infuriates me. Somebody in the company violated West min block, based who would get furloughed on a number below what they had to maintain, disproportionately furloughed from the West, and got caught doing it.

The fact that they then allowed former east furloughees who recalled to the West who were getting furloughed again to return to the east and fly the very same effin growth airplanes that the east stole from the West is mindbogling.

I know it pisses you off when I call it theft, but there just ain't another term for what has happened.

I'm trying, but not exactly following you. Plus, it's been a while. With that in mind, since everyone gets bent out of shape when I ask a question, I have a few. But first, yeah the company was found to be in the wrong, and should be held accountable. I thought they were and USAPA was trying to get the right amount of money out of them. Last I read about it the company was using the same Dr. Lee to low ball the west that they used against us in the injunction. Would you like USAPA to give in and just take what the company is offering to get it over with?

-The west was only below the min block for a few months, then popped back above and has remained. Is that correct?
-If that is correct, and they didn't need to recall when they went back above the min., I'm not sure of your issue.
-the east "stole" "growth"A/C? We have less hulls than May 2005, but yes more than our very bottom. But, weren't the A/C that came on to the property after the merger handled in accordance with the TA? The east didn't hold a gun to the company's head. You guys got IOUs. I can't say I think that was exactly right, but when I say that about the Nic I get told very quickly by lot's of guys that what I think really doesn't matter. I don't get the absence of sharing the A330s.

Last time I checked neither east nor west has any control over what the company does beyond what they can grieve after the fact.

Not sure what you would call it, but east nor west can fly a route or airplane unless Tempe schedules it that way. Seems an issue like this sits squarely on Dougs desk.

One thing about this mgmt team is they do nothing unless it benefits them. That makes me wonder about this hearing today. They showed little interest in resolving the seniority dispute for 6 years. Now they want an expidited ruling. The situation at AA of course is probably a factor. My feelings on it? Tempe needs a way to be able to do what they want to do without the transition agreement in place anymore.

That would mean that something in the TA is preventing them from swapping things around as they like. The main things the TA is holding in place is Base structure and how many airplanes are based where. I have the feeling that for whatever their angle is on AA, it will require a large migration of planes and people one way or the other.

PHL is probably not going anywhere, from what I have seen the yields are too high. CLT is prety much a monopoly. PHX is a large base but lots of competition with the SWA presence that drives ticket prices down. If it is some kind of AA deal lurking I would figure either PHX or CLT or both will cease to be what they are now. If it is stand alone plans I am guessing that Tempe wants to redistribute the routes to wherever the highest yields are. Most bang for the airframe buck.

Wow...You can almost see the spittle flying!

Some folks on here need to relax a bit. It's all good, someday all this will be a distant memory. No idea when that will be, but someday. 😀

Didn't you hear? It all ended today... And the West temper tantrum tsunami is the proof!

Kubic is gone.

He resigned to keep his job. Apparently the company persuaded him to move on from his union position or face termination.

Just like Valerie Hayes. No one has heard from her because the company told her to STFU or lose your job.

USAPA, never a dull moment.

Seham suing USAPA and Mowrey. Mowrey sleeping with the help. Theur sleeping with the help and gone. USAPA going after Bradford and King. USAPA going after Seham. No contract and LOA93 after 5 years.

LMAO.

I make no sense? Really? Maybe if you are looking for some reason for my question, thinking it is a trap, or some other motive. There wasn't. It was a simple question. When do you think this will all be over?

Go sleep it off.

Could be over today. No later than April.
