US Pilots Labor Discussion

I haven't visited this board in a LONG time and I stopped reading this thread in November 2010, has there been any movement at all? I'm surprised to see these same arguments. I don't understand one thing. In the NW/DL merger, my partner flew the A320 at NW. He was hired in 1998. A friend of mine from DL, also hired in 1998, flew international FO prior to the merger. He gained 2,000 numbers over my partner. Today, they are both flying what they did before the merger. Isn't that what NIC was trying to do? I'm not taking sides, I'm just asking the question: is DOH more "fair and equitable" when you have a very young company merge with a much older one?

Oh no BD, pre wouldn't call me out and incorrectly state things about me and how I managed to land a job without telling her story. I feel confident that shortly she will be along to share her wonderful story of her vast experience and why that although every airline was begging for her to join them, she chose AWA.

Integrity and all.

Why do you think I'm a "she"? You are great at perpetuating tales regardless but have you ever thought about maybe tou don't know who I am? By your silly post above the correct answer is "no", but in your imaginary world I'm sure you feel otherwise.

Someone at sometime said you were a she. I never saw you say otherwise, and I guess it stuck. How would you like for me to refer to you? He, she or it? Irrelevant to the discussion and I don't care. Waiting on your story, since you felt compelled to share a false version of mine.

There is one question that I am interested in. What led you to believe I was born with a silver spoon? Do is that just some more crap you made up?

And women. I'm surprised a woman wouldn't have included that.

It's "couldn't care less". Sorry, IMHO proper grammar and spelling give more credibility to your argument.

Kind of like a soap opera, huh? Tune in a few years later and the story line is the same. A few old players, a few new ones, same theme.

Some legal progress has been made and that is were it will be settled. My personal opinion is that barring an outside event we are still a few years away from a joint ratified contract that will put a joint seniority list in place.

I don't think DOH is more fair and equitable, it is the other end of the Nic, I just don't think the Nic is fair. Did you catch the guy I mentioned in a previous post? Slotted ahead of me. Hired 13 years after me. He has never been a captain and today he can hold the same thing we both held on the day the Nic came out, A320 F/O. That is the highest paying position he can hold. In the meantime, even after losing more airframes than the west, I am now an A320 C/O and could also hold 737 C/O, A330 F/O or 76I F/O. All of those positions pay more, even at our crappy rates, than the AWA guy can hold, yet if we flip the switch on the Nic tomorrow, he could hold them above me for the rest of our career, with no restrictions.

That's why I think it is unfair, but life is not always fair and it is still unknown if anything can be done about it. We'll see.

Thanks for the input.

You were 24 or 25 years old in 1986.

I was in the court room, the Judge wanted labor peace, it clearly stated if it wasnt ratified it would be imposed, it was a "token" vote.

He or she? Who cares. (maybe your kids when they get old enough.)

But I find it ironic you were making fun of a fellow pilot's weight yesterday.

Nice blather and diversion. You are treading dangerously. Slander and libel are serious things. Think before you speak.
Truth can hardly be called slander or libel.

Fear, uncertainty and doubt. Threats? Truly I bow to tempe for their expertise. They even have you doing it. Oh, and stripping cash out of the revenue stream, something thieves are also good at.

You've got a CEO who drives while drunk in a serial manner. That truth is not too upsetting, by itself. It is that his judgement is so whacked out that the serial drunk apparently does not even know when to call a cab (or worse yet, even have any friends who care enough to keep him as well as surrounding citizens safe--are you one?) which might tend to explain the foundering going on the last five years.

Thank you for your concerns. You be careful that you don't find yourself covering up for criminal behavior.

Truth? Please present it. You have innuendo and third hand anecdotal stories and no actual proof.

It's been many pages ago so it's not really worth looking up but I believe I said if you had a choice to pick either number. I believe some of our furloughed pilots had that choice with this merger. Whatever, doesn't matter.

If you meant a hypothetical I missed that. The better of the two numbers is only option. And you're right it doesn't matter. You brought it up.

Woman, man or shim, you are continuing to make a fool of yourself. YOU ARE WRONG. I was not 24 or 25 in 1986. Trust me, I know.

F in math and logic, again. I really wonder about AWA's hiring process if you made it through.
