US Pilots Labor Discussion

Arbitration was the result of ALPA merger policy, the East and West had no other option.... C&R would prevent either side from losing jobs, don't you think?

A pilot who reneges on a mutually agreed upon arbitration in order to steal another pilot's job is worse than a scab.

Your union is so bad even the IBTwant no part of it.

Are you proud of yourself?

It's as much YOUR union as it is mine, so give it a break Jake.

I didn't vote for USAPA.
I didn't push for Date of Hire.
I don't want ANYBODY'S job.

BUT, BY GOD, I will not cross a legal picket line. So when you cross that line, make sure you don't make eye contact with anyone. To anyone walking that line, you are scum and always will be.

Don't worry. Everyone, including the NAC, knows USAPA can't go on strike. Apparently you're one of the few that don't.

Trader,

I will not cross a legal USAPA union picket line.
Will you under any circumstance? Yes or No?

BTW, do u let your coworkers know face to face that they are worse than scabs if they support USAPA?

I can't speak for others on the west, but I'd never cross a strike line. Scabs are scum, so are people that pick up extra flying while people are furloughed.

Can USAPA really afford a strike? Can Us Airways for that matter afford a strike? Do you want to go back into bankruptcy? US can't afford the ridiculous back pay the NAC is asking for. Are you going to strike over that? If you guys ever want a decent contract you're going to have to give up on this DOH/back pay pipe dream. The only thing you'll get in the end is an unemployment check.

Not only will I make eye contact, but I'll raise you with a middle finger and a crotch chop.

I too would never cross a strike line.....but, this is all hypothetical BS because usapa is getting parked, not released.

Now regarding people who pick up time while there are still furlloughees. I agree, not the ideal thing, but it falls far below the scab usapa unions promotion of junior pilots retaining employment while pilots senior to them are furloughed in the first place.

So, if there ever was a picket line that deserved to be crossed, it would be one put up by the scab union.

Cactusboy,

I never replied to your response about emotional vs. logical decision making.

All decisions involve some level of "emotion". We may simply have a difference of opinion in the definition of "emotion" and/or "logical". I would say you are confusing "logic" with "rationale". You are using your preconcieved ideas to formulate a "rationale" for making the decision you have made. That has nothing to do with the level of "emotion" involved with my decision to not be a MIGS. Which BTW, I never gave my "rationale".

The entire topic makes me laugh, because it is the most emotional West pilots who first called the east scabs, said they would never join, threw temper tentrums, then joined to "fight them from within" etc..

I also think your "emotion" is clouding your judgement for the "rationale" you have used to make your decision. You want Cleary to have to listen to you and you want a vote, and you think membership give you that??? Sorry, your membership does give you certain LMRDA rights, but with these scumbags, not the ones you want.

Here is the newsflash. Cleary does not give a rats rear what you say, and the crimminally inept union is not going to vote on anything. How long do you think it will take this time for the DOL to get involved with the upcoming election? Last time these criminals held an illegal election and had to spend something to the tune of $250,000 to redo the election under the watchful eye of the DOL.

Is the goat video producer running again? If you know him ask him about the last election.

Actually, ALPA policy mandated arbitration after a specified time period.... Or weren't you told?
