Damn you make this too easy.
Yeah we do have to lower this to the lowest common denominator. I'm glad we have this down to your level now.
Damn you make this too easy.
It is just another example of east pilots unable or unwilling to except the reality of the situation. So what you were a captain. Today's reality you are an F/O. (I am not talking about you specifically) Take off the 4th stripe and accept your position there is no shame in being a first officer but I think you guys think there is. I had a conversation with an east F/O one time and he did not care about anything except being a captain. Pay benefits nothing just the fourth stripe and the left seat. strange culture you guys got on the east. Notice how many poster talk about separate ops and attrition so they can get to the left seat? Damn four stripes and commuter wages and rules if that is all you want from life that chair must be pretty important. When we downgraded captain every one of them took off the stripe. Also I understand the reason for the jacket. It cost money to change and the company is cheap. But when we changed uniforms you guys were F/O's and should have ordered F/O jacket. To me looking down at that 4th stripe while a first officer would just remind me everyday. No wonder there are so many angry F/O's on the east. Daily reminder of what you used to have instead of what the reality is today.
Accept that you are an F/O's wear the proper number of stripes and live in the here and now not the past.
We had a VP ops that came from the outside. Our contract said that you had to be on the seniority list to that job. So he was put on the list but was real junior and not a captain. But he would sign has memos Captain. A lot of us gave him a hard time and he said well I used to be a captain at my other airline. So what we all where but at this airline you are an F/O. Besides he was a VP sign it VP not Captain.
No, not an obsession.
You guys seem to forget that being on LOA93 is a bad thing and you obviously need to be reminded of this fact over and over.
Still making it too easy.Seems to me that it really is an obsession to you. Please keep on reminding us and obsessing yourself with it.... LMAO!!!!
Still making it too easy.
So far there have been well over 100 nominations for various leadership positions. Is there a list of those who have accepted?
I know from another forum who is running from PHX, but aside from Gary Hummel, who is running in the east? Andy Reitz (sorry about the spelling) was running but dropped out.
I don't even know if Cleary is running.
Hummel is the only one who has put out a campaign letter and video that I have seen.
Doesn't balloting begin next week?
i know, I know!!!!!!The 27th is the deadline for candidates to have their paperwork in, so I would imagine we will know on the 28th. Some surprises in store I imagine. Do you know why Andy pulled out?
Here are the facts: When an eastie called someone a rookie I winced, because I have a west friend that lets that term bug him. When I saw scab, it made me mad as I don't personally know any west pilots that were scabs. I hate it when I'm called one and don't want that term thrown around so loosely.
So you are painting with the brush you claim to dislike.
I guess we can take that as your version of truth...
Never said differently. It was funny to watch the easties scramble cause they didn't like their own medicine, though. Y'all weren't winching or hating in silence then, were you...![]()

Thank you for the kind words. In fact, I offer a heart-felt thanks to everyone on here that has supported (each in their own way) my attempt to run for USAPA President. That being said, I am now officially backing out of the race. In order to win this election and make any real changes, I would have needed a large chunk of the disgruntled East vote and nearly ALL of the West vote. And, with both Eric and I running, that seems virtually impossible. There is no way I will be able to carry a majority of the west vote against him. Regardless of what the general feeling towards him on the East is, Eric is still the hero that stood up to tyranny. The most sincere intentions and convictions cannot compete with that. And, all my staying in the race will do is to ensure an East victory. There is too much at stake in this election to risk that. So, better for me to bow out now then to risk costing both of us a chance to win. So, rather than split the vote, we need to rally around one candidate and hope for the best. I have no pride or arrogance to think that I offer the only hope.
On that note, can we stop the back and forth bickering and focus on getting the candidate that most wants change elected? Thank you again to everyone for your support, and I hope we'll get to fly together in the not too distant future.
Andy
When it comes to the east, its ALWAYS someone else's fault. So it's AOL's fault. Makes sense.
Since the grammar police have been out today shouldn't he have said "And, with Eric and me..." not "I"? ;-)
When it comes to the east, its ALWAYS someone else's fault.
Of course.Yours usually.
Not to worry. Someone with nearly 3,000 posts since August could easily employ insanity as a defense.Yours usually.
Better than the east's employment of stupidity. Not to worry. Someone with nearly 3,000 posts since August could easily employ insanity as a defense.
