Bill McKee has not said anything to distinguish himself from Mike Cleary. Cleary may have had the best interests of the east in mind, but unfortunately he also had an obligation to represent both east and west, and his style of management and leadership were counter productive to say the least.
More important, Mike Cleary had considerable latitude during his first two years in order to make progress. His real problems began in his last year and I suspect his VP didn't help matters one iota.
Where we are today as a union has to be placed on Cleary's doorstep, or wherever the buck stops. We are an emasculated union which has made negative progress on a number of fronts such as safety culture, contract negotiations and in its relationship with other labor groups both on and off the property.
How would Bill Mckee be different? More important, does Bill McKee say he will be any different?
We can't keep doing what we have been doing and expect different results.

Vote for somebody else. But it won't matter because the guys that "have theirs" won't vote, the fringe guys will support another lunatic and a contingent of West pilots want it screwed up so they can have a shot of damages.

Wow. Great start to the McKee/Jamie "tee shot in the shower" campaign. Bravo.
This one line really caught my eye. "Working with the West." No matter what your goal or political leaning it is REQUIRED. 1100 Members have every right to participate and be represented. Stupid thing is, Jamie and McKee (and their mentor Cleary) don't realize it only hurts everyone to not do so. As has been said here hundreds of times, the seniority issues should be put in the corner. The court(s) will ultimately decide the question...eventually. There simply is not compromise..we all get it. And we get it that West candidates will carry the Nic banner. Roger Wilco. Expected.
McKee had no input on the original CBL of USAPA. He in fact was quick to amend it in creating the EVP Officer position..only to find his "candidate" trounced in the following election. A year later he and Crimi sent yet another CBL question to the membership to "remove" the position. The pilots were paying attention, and said "take a hike Bill."
Bill has indeed endeared himself to the 50% of CLT pilots that bother to even vote in elections. His representation in the CP office is to be commended, but the missed fact is these guys were in the CP office BECAUSE of Bill hijacking the Safety campaign and turning it in to a work action. The injunction from the Judge is almost a love letter to Bill.
The firing of two pilots for not doing distance learning should be his scarlet letter…..how could any CLT pilot not be notified quietly by Bill a week before the deadline to finish up? After all, was not Bill snuggled up with Pate and the other popcorn cookers, as he contends in his farewell rant about them getting fired? No, he was not. Just like Cleary, McKee burned all his bridges by calling out the CP and upper management in his Saturday night 6 page rants against Pate, Bular, Hogg, etc. Bill made it clear he hated them all, and they made it clear that not doing distance learning would get innocent soldier pilots killed. Thanks SGT McKee..nice way to say “take the hill” while you and the scab quietly do your own distance learning to meet the deadline.
MCKEE EQUALS CLEARY. Even if that floats your boat, please at least vote (hey..that rhymes!)
Gary Hummel and Steve Bradford will indeed "work with the West." Fact. And they won't get a single vote from the West by saying that. Expected. That does not mean any type of compromise on seniority, such as the now famous double secret trip by Cleary (with McKee cheering) to cut a special deal with Eric over lunch in Texas. Imagine that, the President of USAPA secretly meeting with a 2004 hire to discuss a compromise, without telling all the BPR or Officers.

It's not bait, I am truly curious. Hummel says the courts will decide, in your opinion, what should usapa do if they lose? You know very well that usapa's lawyers said you will lose, so what is plan B? Let me guess, no blan B needed.

Plan B is the backstop at the Ninth/SCOTUS....always has been.
We should all wait for the final briefs, and any trump cards 🙂 to be played.

No trump card, you know very well that Odwyer told cleary u will lose and that the only hope was on appeal. Btw we noticed how the dj filing odwyer tried to change the legal question, nice move.

Leaving this legal flight plan on autopilot by using the 9th/SCOTUS as the next segments regardless of the legal merits is foolhardy.
If a judgement is rendered in the DJ which is clear and decisive, and contrary to USAPA's position, someone needs to hit the disconnect button, take over manually and bring this dispute to an end.
Such a leader will not be popular to many, but he'll have my respect. This union doesn't need someone to simply kick the can down the road.
How's that for mixing metaphors :blink:
