US Pilots Labor Discussion

Oh, I edited the numbers out of the quote, and suggest you do the same in the original post. Would not want you named in a RICO complaint if usapa started getting a couple thousand calls a day on their hotline. Oh, and the owners of the board would get named too for facilitating, the way the AWAPPA founders were named.

Done.

Oh, let me think. Something that may have been taught in seminary. What is it? What is it? Oh yeah, to turn the other cheek. To learn from the mistakes the east has made, not continue them and keep us perpetually divided? Could that be it?

You don't like having the logic used on you, do you? "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall." Reverend.
All great principles to live by if you are living according to the Word. Now, what percentage of the pilot population do you suppose would place those a high enough value on those teachings to actually let the east get away with treating the west pilots as they have? The statistics place about 85% of America claims to be Christian while less than 20% of those who claim to believe in Christ can properly articulate a Biblical view of what their confession actually means or doesn't mean. Now that 20% who actually know what the Bible says would have to also feel personally convicted to turn the cheek or whatever analogy you prefer to make what you suggest come true. I would say that kind of personal conviction and self-sacrificing attitude would be about 50% of that already small population at best. So, out of the 1700 or so west pilots you might get about 130 fully committed Christans who would yield their rights to help out the east. That leaves more than 1500 west pilots who would more than likely tell you to go pound sand if you think they are giving an inch after how unscrupulously the east has treated them.

I'm a realist PI. How God wants east and west pilots to treat each other is a different topic altogether vs. what I realistically expect the outcome to be. Big difference.

Your selective backing about legality is funny.

What is legal about reneging on your Binding Arbitration agreement?

Hypocrisy....you are soaking in it! 😛

As of today, it is not illegal. Dismissed.

Hypocrisy.........go look it up and then maybe you can use it correctly

So, agreeing to binding arbitration, then reneging because you didn't get a pony isn't wrong?

And you wonder why the west has zero trust for the west? Why agree to anything with the East? You all are just gonna whine like 9 year old spoiled girls if you don't get what you want.

You made a binding agreement, be upstanding grown-ups and live up to your binding agreements, its what honest people do.

Do you want to talk about fair or legal? Here is your post, you seem to have forgotten what you brought up:

You asked a question, I answered.

CG,

Do you remember this: "If that happened, would you PI come out and demand that USAPA provide better protections and pay to the west like you are for the furloughed east pilots today, or would you wander off into silent complicity?"

You asked me what I would do, not what my group would do. I told you what I HAVE done.

Then you ask me this: "Riddle me this, why would any west pilot go out of their way…….."

ANY WEST pilot. Not all west pilots, any. I made a suggestion of what any (that could be you) could do. You respond by saying they it is impractical because most won't do it. What is stopping YOU from doing it? Were you taught in seminary to do what the group does? Are you in the world and of the world. Or do you have the power to attempt to affect change? You ask me if I would or would you wander off into silent complicity, as you are wondering off in silent complicity.

Welcome to the airline equivalent of the Israelis and Palestinians.

You are a trip.

So...making a binding agreement to live by binding arbitration and then not living up to it and forming a sham union to wuss out of it is ethical?

Like I said...you are soaking in it.

Wait, let's got back to your original question. Legal or moral, because you said legal.

You must have gotten a smiley central gift card for Christmas too.

Guess you will find out about legal.

But, I admire the incredible cognitive dissonance you have to go through to try to convince yourself that making a binding arbitration agreement and then wussing out on it is somehow honorable.

In your heart, you know I'm right.

I never said that it was right. Have you read any of my posts on this subject? I'm trying to get you to acknowledge that you were wrong. Do that and we can talk.

Be Careful What You Wish For, what? Why can't you answer my PM, I thought you wanted to take it out of F/A section. Not so chatty now?
