US Pilots Labor Discussion

I never said that it was right. Have you read any of my posts on this subject? I'm trying to get you to acknowledge that you were wrong. Do that and we can talk.

Like I said, when we see how the final rulings come out, then we will know.

Cognitive dissonance....how do you live without it?

What part of Binding do you not understand? The "binding" part? 😛

Yet you are Move2CLT of the East.

Yet you seem to defend subverting the process that took into account "career expectations".

Say hey to GI for me.

That you would put me up there with MSU shows you aren't paying attention.

You want to tackle that whole top of the east list thing about career expectations, if not then move along.

Don't get the GI thing, pm if you want me to.

Are you a F/A or pilot?

What part of legal vs. moral do you not get. Want to do this all night? As fun as it is, I have a question. Would be more receptive of a west pilot/lawyers opinion of what is moral?

Odd, how you all of a sudden became visible.

That's called short call reserve, winter, insomnia and needing a hobby.

As far as being visible, my screen name is stuck in mobile mode and is annoying. I sign in and out a lot.

Is there a point in there?

Okay, I see someone down there with a screen name with the initials of GI. Are you implying that I have some connection with that person? I don't, no clue who they are. I know no F/As on here.

CG,

Do you remember this: "If that happened, would you PI come out and demand that USAPA provide better protections and pay to the west like you are for the furloughed east pilots today, or would you wander off into silent complicity?"

You asked me what I would do, not what my group would do. I told you what I HAVE done.

Then you ask me this: "Riddle me this, why would any west pilot go out of their way…….."

ANY WEST pilot. Not all west pilots, any. I made a suggestion of what any (that could be you) could do. You respond by saying they it is impractical because most won't do it. What is stopping YOU from doing it? Were you taught in seminary to do what the group does? Are you in the world and of the world. Or do you have the power to attempt to affect change? You ask me if I would or would you wander off into silent complicity, as you are wondering off in silent complicity.

Welcome to the airline equivalent of the Israelis and Palestinians.

You are a trip.
PI,

My questions about what you would do we're related to your participation on this forum. I did not expect that you would have the power or position to influence the majority of east pilots. If you do have that kind if power or influence, then what are you doing with it?

I had no idea you were asking me what I would personally do but what the west pilots as a group would do to achieve a final resolution to integrating the two groups. There is nothing I can personally do to influence the east or west pilots to do anything so my personal positions when it comes to joint negotiations or a ratification vote are all but irrelevant.

So I have made my thoughts known about how to resolve the seniority questions and how nothing can happen until the east finally agrees to close out S22 with the NIC. After that if there are proposals on the rest of the sections I would be glad to comment on those too. In the meantime if you have a proposition you want me to comment on personally, just let me know.

I have no influence with current union leaders. What I might have had got burned with my defense of the C18. That doesn't stop me from trying or voicing my opinion in the hopes that something, even a tiny little thing will sink in some day. I've tried to figure out which candidate would be the best, but to be honest I don't have much faith in any of them right now. They are still trying to win the war.

You can do that too. But to do that you have to stop seeing the other side as the enemy. I do not see the west as the enemy.

But he has the moral high ground.

Here is your chance. The elections are open. For the last 4 years east pilots have been in charge. Can they do any worse they what we have now? You guys have all seen how unified the west is lined up behind EF and the rest of the west leadership. If they can bring 10% of that to the entire group we will have 10% more than we have now.

Curious the campaign material coming for the east candidates.

Gary Bauhan:
While I was serving as USAPA’s original EVP...

I made a half-hearted run at Sec/Treasurer after the first year. Then returned to the line and watched with dismay as our union imploded.

Here is a guy that was there at the beginning. Had a seat on the inner circle and is dismayed at how the built from the ground up east union has imploded. We have east pilots running away from the "union". You guys have had the same type of leadership for 25-30 years. Is anything really different now between ALPA and usapa? You have the same in-fighting, disfunction, back stabbing political games you always have had. Is it time to give the other guys a chance?
