Dan.....Almost every pilot knows that you keep your nose clean and your head low when you're on probation. You want to go unnoticed. I'm just offering a little friendly advice to someone. I didn't threaten the guys job....I didn't even out him....although anyone with access can see who it is. You know as well as I do that there are pilots both west and east that would use what someone says against them.....we all make mistakes....when you're on probation.......you don't want anyone to notice your mistakes. You don't give someone an excuse to notice your mistakes when you're on probation. Darwinism.

I think you're being a little paranoid. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that you don't post unpopular speech when (if the wrong person reads it or doesn't like what you have to say) it could cost you your job. People get fired every day for posting things on the internet that are unflattering or unpopular with their bosses. Didn't you vote for Ron Paul?

The guy that said that is a 3rd Lister E190 F/O new hire. He hasn't even been on the line for 7 months. He doesn't even know which way is up yet, and still has a probationary checkride to pass. I wouldn't take what he says as the gospel by any means. And notice I did not out this individual, but he should be a little more careful of what he says.....while i don't hold what he says against him, there are others that might. Not too smart to be sticking your head up in no mans land when you're on probation.

And WTF does his time on the line have to do with his opinion on the DJ? He has experience outside of aviation and the fact that he's on probation doesn't mean jack.

Funny thing is Dan....I don't completely disagree with him. But there are many that would vehemently disagree with him.....to what end....I don't know. But not a smart idea to stand up in the middle of a fire fight when you're the newby.

Especially when there are some who have no problem with using unethical behavior against those that disagree with them. And I'm not accusing anyone here, just saying that those people exist in the company.

Koontzy....I bet he would have appreciated you asking him if it was ok to post this on this board. I haven't threatened anyone. If you thought Parker was a complete idiot and you weren't protected by a union, would you post a message on the internet or send an email to him saying what an idiot he was? Just not a smart thing to do. Its funny what lengths some west pilots will go to to try and prove their point of view. If you need a 3rd lister to back your argument then things must be pretty desperate over there.

Thank you cynic. At least there are a few rational people that can see and understand what i have been trying to say instead of twisting it into something that it's not.
