US Pilots Labor Discussion

Really, clown, this what you have to say? Fool, the NAC has given all west provisions away, only a stupid idiot doesn't get it. See it's simple, trade work rules for cash, then the higher paid westies lose money thru work rules while the east gains cash, you stupid scab.

Sorry...should have kept reading on......

So if you followed your end of a bargain, did exactly what you were supposed to do, followed all the rules, you would be wrong for digging in your heels because you expected the same from the other side?

Is that how you work. If one party doesn't like the outcome, you give in to their demands and alter the agreement until they're happy?

Did I get that right?

Not exactly.

There was a path out prior to Arbitration. It involved Leadership from Doug Parker that was not forth coming, coupled with the lack of vision from Labor. The events that have transpired are neither surprising nor unpredictable.

This is a lesson in what happens when groups become blinded and unable to see the forest for the trees.

Sadly the courts will likely have the final say.
You're right, it is sad. The courts know that the pilots have the tools to resolve this themselves by sh--canning USAPA and forming a new union run by reasonable people, not extreme Angry F/O's. Both sides are too lazy to do the hard work that this would require and prefer to pay attorneys and wait on judges. Some folks want to Reform USAPA, but that too is too little too late.

The blame for this lies squarely in the lap of those who could have recalled Cleary and the east BPR and put in those men who would accept the NIC and move on. Since they abdicated their responsibility there is little left to do but rid ourselves of this disaster and start over.

What a hypocritical statement Hummel made in his latest campaign letter,

"The voters have spoken and the fact is that Bill McKee and his running mates have lost. 75% of the pilots that voted did not support them."

Earth to Hummel, you only received 88 more voted than McKee.

Other Hummel fact distortions.

"As a reminder, the USAPA record for failure under the current leadership of Mike Cleary and Bill McKee includes:"
LOA 93-Lost (The final draft of this has not been published yet.)

Status Quo Lawsuit in NY against the Company-Lost (The judge mentioned in the findings that it was evident US Airways was dragging their feet.)

Defense of Job Action Permanent Injunction in North Carolina-Lost (United has the same current injunction. In recent history, American and Delta were both under such injunctions.)

MDA Longevity Grievance-Lost (Thank ALPA for selling out these pilots.)

Contract Negotiations-Parked (We join fellow pilots of American and United in the same situation.)

Fifty cents of every union dues dollar- wasted on legal fees (You have a group of pilots out West intent on destroying your Union, blame them.)

Pilots fired for not completing distance learning (Gary, there are donations being made to help their families, are you on the list.)
Very disturbing rhetoric for a campaign letter. What are we going to hear from him if he gets voted in?

We have a very extensive little network and we have enought votes to throw to the west to get Ferguson and koontz elected, there is no doubt that they will be elected, these boys ere the real thing Hummel has let us down!!!!!!!

Hellacious spin on the Cleary stuff, but your remedy is outstanding.

So you admit that the west is not digging in its heels but merely fighting for what was agreed to, right?

No Move, you got it wrong.

What? Don't like to hear the truth? You guys throw that in our faces all the time, but there is a lot of truth in what SH says in his post. Plenty of blame to go around and you guys are not the victims that you try to project.
