US Pilots Labor Discussion

Quit.
Please.

Why would Beancounter quit now?

and speaking of quiting...what happened to all those east pilots that were going to quit once the usapa scabs lost the LOA93 grievence? I though you and the other junior east pilots were going to see massive attrition once all the guys hanging out waiting for the big snapback payoff collected and left.

Seems to me, not only did they not get the big payoff, after years of losing 10s of thousands so Bradford could scab his job, they actually need the job more than Beancounter.

I guess you are now resorting to trying to get West pilots to leave to move up in seniority since the attrition train pulled back to the platform...LMAO!!!

Oh I can hardly wait for the return of the troll of trolls. Classic Alligator mouth and Hummingbird arse. What life is that? whining about how ALPA screwed you?

Now run along little boy.

Show me Mr 5000 plus post who has a life. Whine? Show me one time I have whined. Two years later and it is the same idiots still posting. Now run along and go play with yourself.

After Hummel wins the election today, you're all going to want to quit. 3+ more years of LOA93, more years of waiting for a Judge to tell you what you already know, APA is going to steamroll this pointless union as well.

Steve Bradford destroyed your careers worse than any other single entity in the last 40 years of US Airways. There isn't the slightest rational argument otherwise. Here's to another era of the East pilots wallowing in their own Sh*^.
Salut! Attrition starts 12/12 and never ends. New hire classes in progress on the east. Only direction now is up the list as guys retire.
The pay will come when Doug needs a deal.
The only downside I see is having to swallow the Nic at some point...but not in the near future.

Thanks for the support.

While some of my investments have done very well, I'm definitely in no position to stop working at my age. Besides I like the job itself, co-workers are great, well at least for now 🙄

Make sure you keep a court-ordered bump and flush in the back of your mind.

I'm not saying its going to happen, but just keep it in mind.

And, eventually, you will have to swallow the Nic. Once that happens, you'll start down the list to reserve Captain and there is where you'll stay. May even get bumped out of domicile too. But you'll pay, at the very least, with perpetual reserve.

FA,

Sorry for the confusion. If the hare/spite you're referring to happened recently, I have and do apologize. I will try not to mix posting with alcohol and visiting pilot friends. It's hard not to get angry when you have friends that got hired at other airlines after you did, but they have better schedules and make waaay more money (Delta, Alaska, Airtran, Southwest). You may be able to relate. I know the merger was the best for both companies, but if I'd known AWA was going to merge with US I would have never come here. Well, that may not be true, since this still beats any commuter. This lack of a contract and moving backward in seniority is for the birds.

Bean

Bean, you sound like not a bad guy.. don't let all this get to you,,, it's a screwed up industry....
all my commuter buddies from 86-87 are all 767 and 777 CAPTS at CAL... but didn't seem like the place to be back then...

attrition is all I've had a chance at capturing and I'm sorry but just can't you jump in front of me and takigng it... It's nothing personal....

Actually, we can and we eventually will.

Its just a matter of time so start making peace with it. As pullout stated, you'll swallow the Nic eventually.

Provided some other cosmic event doesn't happen, the sun will also swallow the earth one day when it becomes a Red Giant star as it runs out of Hydrogen to fuse into Helium. It's just a matter of time. Eventually that will happen. Will that matter to you and I? Perhaps one day Nic will be the list in a combined contract.....but by the time that happens.....will it matter anymore?

Sure it will.

Not on the time scale you mention but a whole lot sooner than you think.

Sounds like that means alot to you. So why did you support gambling with something so important by sticking to a non-starter like DOH during negotiations?

The airlines merged and the ownership of attrition was lost. No one is jumping ahead of anyone, it's a merging of lists - a zipper rather than a staple.

A small subset of the pilot group cannot deny contract improvements for the entire group, as you are no doubt beginning to learn. The Nic is the list. From there you need to decide if you hate the phantom fear of "someone jumping ahead of you" more than you desire more pay and an improved quality of life with little impact on your upgrade.
