ditto here, crazy

Jim, trader, and the West boys can think what they want, but I think it's called unionizm.....a brotherhood that is long overdue.

Put it to a vote and see who your friends really are. Money talks, everything else ... votes for Hummel I guess.

Some brotherhood- piXX off the very folks you need to secure any gains so you can "get yours". Leave you alone and you screw up "unionizm" into a permanent injunction.

Luvin,

I know you put a lot of effort into reforming USAPA and I agree that was a good track to be on, so qudos to you.

The recent vote says it all. The East will stand together through whatever it takes until attrition has played it's part. Had NIC not thrown us all a monkey wrench, we wouldn't be here today.

LOL....sorry, part of my Arkansas education. That doesn't mean that i don't understand right from wrong. 😀

Oh yeah,.....we don't need you and your incestuous behavior, my brother.

There's that blue pill breeze again. Pick a personality and committ to it for 10 minutes. That would be a start. You have me confused with someone else. I wouldn't bother "reforming" USAPA. It needs to be replaced!

You just have no track record of demonstrating that knowledge. I understand.

Whose gonna respond Ms. Jekhyll, or Mr. Hyde?

"Norman!" "NORMAN!!"

Well, apparently you are the one with the knowledge on pills.....I only take a vitamin each day, so you lost me. I wouldn't know a blue pill from an orange pill.

Maybe i wasn't clear, my comment wasn't meant to be negative to you. I have often stated that I didn't vote for Cleary and thought that USAPA needed to change, agreeing with you.

However, USAPA aside, I am in full support of the East pilots. Hopefully with the change in leadership, things can move in a positive direction.

I'm guessing that you got beaten up in the school yard.... a lot.

Five posts in a row replying to EeastUS. That says a lot, even before one considers whether or not to waste time reading the content.

Many top 1000 I fly with have said to me they will not vote for contract with nic because they have been flying with guys to right for so many years and just can't screw them. I take them at their word.

stalwart.......solid, dependable, and courageous

A good definition of the East pilots, regardless of politics and USAPA

For some time now you folks keep making me think of the Nittany Lions fiasco even though the subject matter is quite different. There is the beloved old Joe getting ready to ride out into the sunset with warm wishes from all while the backdrop is trying to justify Sandusky like union leaders and actions - everybody loves Joe, we all do. We all want to be good old Joe at heart but the lengths folks will go to justify the ends without regard to the means can be astonishing at times. I rarely post and was not going to mention this Nittany Lion impression I cant seem to shake, as it might further inflame or be seen as a reference to the recent past that need not be thrown around, but the Euro sauna/shower scene today pushed me over the top and hopefully many of you will find some real amusement in my plight. I need you to help make this impression go away quicker than the Nic. The blonde Breezy, I got her image down as a fine buxom Bavarian fully grown Gretel and I am fighting like mad (mad I tell you) to hold that image Breeze, but the Nittany Lion thing keeps trying to push Hans into the picture as the real blonde. I am believing you are on our team on this one Breeze and the situation was exactly as you described. I have never pulled so hard for your factual reporting and recent visions of grandeur to be exactly as you described them as I am right now and I want and need to keep Gretel your/our Gretel. I am on your side Breeze and only ask that you help me maintain my/your views of this incident and please do not elaborate on Euro layovers any further, but instead tell us about rock climbing adventures in Estes Park and elk hunting, fly fishing or hang gliding and such as it will keep the good and desirable imaginations I have of you intact.

Thank you!

Ok, I will try and respond to this.

This is exactly what happened and probably happens alot on these European layovers. The spas are a great place to unwind, but it is not a sexual thing, so quit drooling. It was definitaly Gretal there.....didn't get as far as her name.....but Hans didn't seem to be around.....maybe I was just focused on Gretal. If it had been a spa in PHX, it might have been filled with pilots named Hans, but fortunately it was in Europe. 🙂

I will try and keep things more in line with life in Colorado......but I only live here about 60% of the time.

Thanks Breeze! Did it make you laugh? That was the goal.

Well, it did make me smile.

I hope that someday you will fly to Europe on a regular basis and will get the chance to actually see the difference in the way they live over there.

Don't get me wrong.....flying across the Atlantic is tiring and takes some getting used to, but for me, that's where the max pay is in my career at this time.

Well it was my attempt at humorous interuptus and I thought it was hilarious so a smile will have to suffice under the circumstances. Knock yourself out and enjoy it as presently I could not possibly desire it less. It would literally have to be forced upon me and that is not meant to diminish another's view and reality as to its desirability. To each his own! To live there for a spell would be fabulous. On that note the lights go out.

And after the merger, was not ALPA's portion still no less than 36%? The LOA 93 language was followed to the letter. All that happened was that the merger resulted in more pilots entitled to a share of ALPA's 36% since more pilots worked for "the company".

You can try to explain it away all you want, but the plain language of LOA 93 entitles the west pilots to a share of the profit sharing. If you're going to make a stand on LOA 93, the union doesn't even get a say in how the pilots split that 36% up. You'll notice that the language sets up the profit sharing pool not just for pilots working under LOA 93 but for everyone working for the company. Who gets that other 66% of the profit sharing pool specified in LOA 93 if one has to work under LOA 93 to get profit sharing?

Jim

Actually, I like your logic. Since LOA93 applied specifically to East pilots, and using your logic, the West pilots get a share of the provisions in it, then we have a few thousand Group 2 pilots that would like to have the West contract pay rate of, what, $153/hr? Fair is fair. If the West gets to benefit from the East contract, then the East should be able to do the same thing.

Also, under your logic, the West pilots should have gotten a portion of the $70 million payout since, according to you, they can cherrypick the parts of LOA93 they want to have.

Bottom line is, the EAST pilots had 36% of the profit sharing PRIOR to the merger. The TRANSITION agreement split that between the two groups. The EAST MEC gave it away trying to drum up support for pay parity.

You would never agree with me anyway, so lets just move on.
