All West 737s retired. Handful of 737-300s still on East to be replaced by end of year, and 737-400s all replaced by sometime in 2014. YMMV.

Oh, you are right about the PHX downsizing thing. That is why the 3rd listers and a whole bunch eastholes are hitting the street. From what I hear it is going up past Odell on the Nic, and oh look, Odell is already furloughed because some easthole stole his job, so it won't bother him too much.

Anyone flying more than in their block out West, is stealing a job from a fellow West pilot. I bet the 99+ hour club in PHX "bothers" Odell.

Junior First Officer, TP is the same age as me? I had a my 30-year HS reunion a couple years ago and noticed how people age differently. They say stress ages people, life must be hard on the Usapian. If she was at my reunion, I'd thought she was one of the teachers. She needs to drop the knitting needles and start working out. At least do Yoga and eat right.

This looks like Mowery's squeeze is trying to set up SSMP for a sexual harrassment suit. If I am reading between the lines correctly, SSMP was right in firing her, because she is obviously a very bad attorney.


I guess we just wait and see if "the peacemaker" Hummel has it out for Mowery and stays the course in pushing this suit.

With PBS and our contract, it does not work the same way as the east for blockholders. Also, this is a big point of contention amongst the West.

But, I agree, you make a valid point. I would not call it stealing though....more like...umm...hmmm..maybe stealing is a good word for lack of a better one.

USAPA also doesn't have a strike fund (won't need one anyone so its moot).

USAPA doesn't have a merger fund.

Congrats easties. You've found another incompetent arbitrator. You guys seem to have a nose for sniffing these guys out.


After a discussion on the MDA decision, the Board moved into Executive Session for additional reports regarding MDA, and returned to Open Session for the vote on the following resolution:


Whereas the BPR has been briefed by the Grievance Committee and USAPA Attorney's that there were glaring Procedural errors along with unreasonable and unfair procedural restrictions placed upon the Union during the arbitration by Arbitrator Wallin, and


Whereas the only remedy potentially correcting these errors is a filing in Federal Court for relief, and


Whereas the BPR has been briefed that the work will be done by in house Counsel at minimal cost to USAPA,


Therefore be it resolved that the USAPA BPR authorizes the Grievance Committee and Staff Attorneys to file for relief in Federal Court.


Motion Passes 8-0-3


For: CLT, DCA, PHL
Abstain: PHX
