Perhaps your frustration would be better relieved if you addressed the East pilot I was responding to. They're the one who claimed to know lawful from non-lawful - talk about an ivory tower. I, like you, was saying that most times telling the difference on the spot is merely opinion to be confirmed or rejected by a higher authority after the fact.
