US Pilots Labor Discussion

I would like to pose to both sides a hypothetical question--kind of a what if, and would appreciate your honest thoughts on the subject.

WHAT IF there were no unions for the pilots--if they were all at will employees? How do you guys think the integration would go? I realize it may not be entirely relevant since you are most certainly dealing with unions, but I'd be interested to know what you think--on both sides.

That said, for what it's worth, I do hope you can come to some sort of agreement in the not too distant future which leaves everyone poised to move forward.

My BEST to you all.....

Great , I can see it now Boing Boy, N924, sittin in a room with laptops going over Wikapedia aviation articles, ! MM!

More empty threats from the delusional toothless cowards. "No Doubt!!!!"

Come back if/when you manage to get off of food stamps....or just score a $2.00 crew meal on a trans con. You whiners think your threats matter? You guys couldn't force your will upon a stray dog! The only thing USAPA and the cheerleaders have done is inflict more damage upon themselves than any other entity in the History of commercial aviation...most of you apparently got the careers you deserve.

Pay: embarrassing
Retirement: forfeited
work rules: Worse than Mesa

Yep. You all are sure a force to be reckoned with!!

Nobody...and I literally mean NOBODY is scared of USAPA or their angry little tough talking coward minions.
Whoaaa Metro! The thoughts of forcing will on a stray dog. Where did that thought even come from? Is that something anybody would even want to consider? This is getting stranger by the post.

And what union do the East pilots have to thank for that? I honestly believe that ALPA has inflicted more damage over the years than USAPA could ever dream of...dredging up these past contract concessions just reminds the east that they are lucky to have gotten rid of the bloated, self serving excuse for a union called ALPA.

But can they remove the parts from down under in the AWA past, and the actions of the senior cadre and their escapades in their DC 6?

Pay-ALPA contract. Retirement-ALPA in the middle of the night, no member vote, work rules? you got it, a perfect ALPA Trifecta. USAPA had nothing to do with any of it except turn it around. That is why you are the member of the proud group of USAPA! West DC Plan? USAPA . West profit sharing? USAPA. Nice Try!

The entire post is pretty bad. The dog part is absolutely disgusting..... 🙁 😱 😱 😱

[/quot This is the nego team to show USAPA! MM! http://www.alpa.org/portals/alpa/pressroom/pressreleases/2003/10-8-03_03.AWA4.htm

So, ALPA, the ONLY union that can't get their cr@p together, is the "rest of the industry"? Not buying it. And it's NOT just MY opinion.

The NIC is STILL DEAD! You STILL need to get over it!

Yep. Alpa has a lot to to with the McCaskill/Bond legislation and so much more to do with SWA/Airtran. Read the post all the way through before you spew.

You nailed it.

If pilots were like EVERY other group, they should have known going into the merger that their DOH/LOS was what they were going to get, not a day more or less, period.

Three seniority arbitrations in a row go "slotting by equipment and status" and you still can't see what the rest of the world knows, that DOH is unfair.

Pathetic.
Shhhhhhh don't tell the other workgroups, F/a's etc. On another note goin to south fl FLL area is anybody know if the WX is good for fishn today! MM!

My plotline goes more like this: after the TSA gets involved, seeing confidential flight crew information is compromised to a rogue LLC, the issue goes to deposition before a judge. Leonidas LLC is put on the stand, and asked how they got the information. Jacobs pleads the fifth. One captain, now married to a corporate insider is asked how he came to facilitate the transfer of confidential information, including FFDO pilots, to a third party in order to issue a propaganda mailer. Same pilot takes Fifth. Under further grilling from Lee Seham, armed with information obtained with a Federal Warrant, Capt. R%&^ss explodes a la Jack Nicholson, A Few Good Men. Telling the Federal judge, Wake, YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!! He is led away to sherriff Joe to a tent in the back lot. This is how it will most likely go down.Ted Reed wraps it all up in a book, which becomes a movie. Saw7, the end of Leonidas.
WOW!!! I am sure it is going to happen just like that. Usapa fiction strikes again.

My plotline goes like this. Usapa and it’s few remaining supporters get all wound up again over some wild theory. Go chasing geese and end up looking the fools AGAIN. In the mean time more time and money is wasted instead of doing what unions are supposed to do. Improve the contract and working conditions of all the pilots they represent?

As a side note. Have any of you asked the big question why? Why would the company hand over data to anyone? If as you all seem to think it would be very easy to prove if it came from the company. Why would the company keep FFDO data on anything accessible to the general company employees? Why would the company who has claimed neutrality and filed a DJ with the court all of a sudden take sides?

I know maybe they are signaling the east pilots that this fight is over and it is time to educate east pilots on what the Nicolau really is. Just like LOA 93 and the info they put out. Since your union keeps lying to you the company has to do the job for usapa. It is all about keeping the east from melting down when the company announces that they are going to use the Nicolau.

This should be fun to watch usapa make fools of themselves again. Perhaps we will Seham go to the same play book again and file RICO charges, maybe against the company this time. Because that worked out so well the last time. What was the outcome, oh that’s right. DISMISSED WITH PREDJUDICE! AFFRIMED by the FOURTH CIRCUIT.

Keep grabbing at those straws boys.

Shhhh. Don’t tell anyone but the other work groups are not pilots. The other work groups do not have pay differential for seat and equipment.

The other work groups do not control what we do.

WHAT IF there were no unions for the pilots--if they were all at will employees? How do you guys think the integration would go?

My experience in corporate America was the employee with 17 years had a better parking space than the guy who just got hired last week.
