US Pilots Labor Discussion

Talk about "fast and loose". What is a windfall if it's not at the expense of the other side?
Gee Sherlock. How about one side getting a bigger raise than the other because of the originating pay disparity. That is a windfall that doesn't come at anyone's expense. NW got a windfall by gaining more improvements in pay than DL. I guess ALPA failed to prevent that as well, huh?

You are not as smart as you like to think. People like you deserve every penny of lost wages and benefit you have endured. Talk about being the LOSER. You are a legend in your own mind!

Steady jetz, we just like the fact that the veins in your neck are buldgeing and your b/p is 200/120. Calm down we don't care we know we will win. Now go watch some cartoons on the tv.

Calm & cool. Methodical and calculated. It's just business (as one of your own stated to me at dinner a couple of years ago). Step by step USAPA & Cleary are helping to dismantle their own machine.

Have a Blessed & restfull night.

Yea...and you care sooooooo much EXACTLY WHY PRAY TELL

I am so flattered that you all care so much about me and my motivation. It truly warms my heart.

Do you guys send PM's back and forth trying to figure it out? Black Swan figured it all out. I'm actually not who I claim to be. My simple explanations (that I've offered more times than I care to anymore) are obviously inaccurate.

I'm actually married to the sister of a friend's uncle, whose step brother-once-removed dated a girl, who divorced a guy, who was remarried to the second cousin of a west pilot. My real name is Dirk Diggler and I dont work in the aviation business after all. There... you got me.

Always a lot to say, supposedly does not work here, but every waking moment just hanging around tossing molatovs...... you figure it out.
Hey BS. Almost 1000 posts in less than a year! You sure do spend a lot of time here for someone convinced he knows how everything will turn out. Why? I really can't figure it out. Please. I won't be able to sleep until I understand you.

The day of the on time airline will be OVER!

Tread softly, Michael me boy, as the board rules allow your identity to be revealed in case of legal proceedings.

It cost the AA boys and girls a tidy sum a few years back. It could happen to YouSapa.

Yea...and you care sooooooo much
Hey Barrister, why do you care so much what everyone else thinks. I mean, hey... Nic is DOA, right? USAPA has this DOH thing locked up, right? Would that mean that all this banter is a waste of your precious time?

Calm down we don't care we know we will win.
Hey mikey, why all the typing then. Sit back, have a cold one, and wait for the dough to come rolling in from that DOH contract. You're not convincing anyone, so why bother. Just let us high blood pressure types spin until we drop, right? Why all the emotion?

(btw, 110/60. My BP has always been on the low side. And sharp shooting you guys has kinda become a fun sport. Children of the corn are easy targets.)

ALPA screwed it up. PERIOD.
Well, it's settled than. Glad to see USAPA is doing such a bang up job for ya there, sporto.

You let me know when that industry standard contract with the DOH seniority integration gets goin'. Will ya?

Until then, enjoy your LOA93 rates and that fantasy world you live in.

The day of the on time airline will be OVER!
Remember how the east loved to spin tales of delinquent dues payers (all west , no doubt) having their IDs confiscated at the jetway?

The consequences of this type of action would be far swifter. And buying back the jobs of those foolish enough to participate in such errands would rapidly erode any gains the negotiating committee might have ever hoped to have reached at the table.

Even I don't think USAPA would be that stupid and I hope they don't prove me wrong.

I like how UAL is trying to mess with CAL scope, I'm sure the United pilots are all for it, nothing like helping out your fellow airline pilot...it's the ALPA way.
Missfit,

You're really batting 1000. You should change your name to MisInformed. Here's another ALPA update that proves how misinformed you really are:

"The United MEC Strategic Planning and Strike Committee (SPSC) is working in conjunction with the Continental SPSC in organizing informational picketing at airports in Newark, N.J., and Houston, as well as at United World Headquarters in Chicago. The informational picketing is in response to management's intent to attack the scope provisions in the Continental pilots' contract.

The informational picketing is intended to send management the message that their attack on the scope provisions in the CAL pilots' collective bargaining agreement will not be tolerated by pilots, and the JCBA is about scope..
"

What do you have to say about that?

Bravo! You beat me to the punch. Funny how the east position turns in any direction in order to support their delusions and justify any and all actions.

DOH is the only fair way, period! (Oh, except when AA used it to screw someone, or if it's used to screw me.)

UA pilots are using the 747 to screw the CO pilots. (But wait, if we merge with UA we want to use the A330 to screw the UA pilots out of their 777 seats.)

AOL is law-suit-happy! They are wasting everyone's time and money. (Wait, lets file some more lawsuits because I received some mailing I didn't want to read.)

Wah! Wah! Wah! That's all it ever is with you guys.

alpa gone yet?

USAPA has informed management and the courts that it has no intention of honoring the NIC. In this context, that is a violation of the TA and that is what I would expect every person with a proper sense of right wrong and a moral fabric to their souls to be up in arms about.

Is the wording "Honor" in the TA? Is "implement" in the TA? Is "and will never be altered" in the TA? I don't see those words, all I see is that he parties will "accept" the list. The west(mostly) reads accept to mean to implement and never change, the east(mostly) doesn't. That's why I asked is it the strict letter of the TA you expect to be followed or the intent. Sometimes in a contract disagreement it is very easy to see who is wrong, sometimes not. A jury in PHX saw it very clearly, a different jury, with a different makeup, different testimony and different instructions from the judge may see it exactly the same or differently? I really don't know.

Thanks for answering the other questions and especially for paying your dues. I feel very strongly about that and have no use for those that haven't paid their dues and don't have much use for their opinions. I admire for accepting your responsibilities and your convictions.

Yes it does but not necessarily to the same amount. If something is frozen and then reduced does it revert to it's former amount when unfrozen?

That's something no one can argue with.

Jim

Actually I always thought that if they reverted it would be at 18% less, but as I said, it's a pretty screwed up document. Of course the company's position is that it sublimed over all those years!

We will just have to see what the arbitrator says.
