US Pilots Labor Discussion

Wow, that was some crew news video no growth domestic it sounded like, but some international and the senority issue well I won't rehash that one. Let's see how AOL will spin this into a crushing defeat against USAPA. Guys it's time to stop all you westies are being hurt by Ferguson and his tribe. Let's go for a contract!!!!

Now it is VERY clear why all the west pilots are not coming on. Doug Parker. Nov 17 crew video.(and thank you for asking him) "This is for YOU GUYS to decide....." "because the company DOES NOT CARE how you do seniority...." "The company is INDIFFERENT......" Sounds like Doug Parker has a very clear understanding of INTERNAL UNION AFFAIRS. The "this is for you guys to decide..." sums it all up.You are very right Mr. Parker. It is for US to decide, not Mr. Nicolau, Not Judge Silver. The USAirways pilots will decide. It is over for the Nic, and Parker made that completely clear. This is why the west has taken their toys, and gone away.

We know that the company is indifferent. The point that was made is that he already accepted the "damn" list, paid the MEC's 300k respectively and could/should move on.

Now, while you're saying: "You are very right Mr. Parker" perhaps you should watch the segment regarding your precious snap back wages. Are you agreeing with him now? He's basically laughing at you.

Ames,

He said your list has problems! Doug knows how this is going to go and it isn't the west way. The LOA 93 pay restoration is the game changer.......it will be game over. The east will be hiring 600 pilots over the next 3 years. Lots of seat changes and remember back east most seat changes mean pay raises!

Nice going from the guy named Ted..............he wants to cross a picket line. What a guy!

Hate

Yeah that person Ted..........

Parker also said, "America West Model doesn't work".........

Overall an interesting Crew News Video......

Wow Ames. Your take is so strange. How do you construe "THIS IS FOR YOU GUYS TO DECIDE." with him accepting the" damn list?" If someone tells you this, it means he does not care which list he gets, as long as it is the one the collective bargaining agent for the pilots decides, and that is USAPA. You can try all you want, but you just don't get it. And the part about the snap back wages? First of all, you all got it wrong, especially the company. It isn't a snap back. It is a LOA expiration with a specific date, and I really don't care what he says. If Kasher says USAPA wins, he WILL pay. The part where your gal makes the "funny" comment about the east changing unions again if we lose just cements firmly how much your group really never understood the entire process from the start. This is totally different than an INTERNAL UNION AFFAIR. This is an arbitration between the employer and the union. Big difference. But this is fine, because your fundamental lack of grasp of the RLA and collective bargaining just made it that much easier to destroy each and every case Jacobs took on. It was unbelievably sad for the average west pilot to spend the money they did for a case that was NEVER ripe. Then you got the 9th to blow Addington away like dust. Even Wake told you it means NOTHING. Unbelievable. Tell Ted Phipps that if he thinks the rest of the employees on the property, ALL OF THEM INTEGRATED BY DATE OF HIRE, that they are going to support him and his merry band of potential scabs in their quest for the Nic, well, not many others on the property see it his way. So go ahead and cross, it is your heritage. I think you will find we will move along without them. Just make sure none of them ever needs to use another carrier for a ride to work ever again. You, can make that choice.

Nice work on USAPA's part to get the ball roling on this.!!!! Special thanks to Cleary and Sully.

Swan, you keep trying to explain it to them, your wasting your time it's to late for them the Rev Jim Jones has contol of their minds. I love reading the spin though. LETS GET A CONTRACT NOW.!!!!!!! IT"S OVER.

Even Boeing Boy has fled to the hills. That was one crazy little phone tree all those west pilots had. The minute they get clocked, they vanish! If you can't take the heat, then get off the forum.......

No, I think he is getting his uniform cleaned and pressed along with his ALPA lanyard.

All clear!

I did not take the time to write down Parker's exact words in the latest PHX crew news, but what I heard was the Company would appeal any unfavorable decision from Judge Silver. Now we know.

So now we might be waiting for SCOTUS to rule, then Silver, and then an Appeal to the 9th. Looks like our best bet for improvement out East is attrition. I am sure glad we did not let ALPA take away our seniority!

Parker was very careful with his words, and we all tend to hear what we want to hear...but what I heard was him telling us all to kiss ol' St. Nic goodbye. And I don't mean Santa Clause. Never has been any doubt in my mind since May of 07' that Nic was DOA. Nice to hear Parker finally admitting it.

The LOA 93 remarks were telling. No matter what the decision by the arbitrator, it won't be based on any kind of "snapbacks." I am sure Parker and the gang on the top floor are loath to use the term "expiration." "Me thinks they doth protest too much" with apologies to anyone with a literary background.

Good job USAPA, and any other unions (including ALPA) that were responsible in any way for the latest good news a few hours ago about screening. Bout' damn time we stood our ground!

It sounds like a carefully worded feel good letter to me. I'm interested to see how much of a difference has really occurred from the day before the letter.
