US Pilots Labor Discussion

320,

The West did furlough Pilots, before this latest one right? My neighbor was hired at AWA in 2000 and was furloughed for a while. Can you tell me how long that was and when?

Yes they were furloughed for a year or maybe two I would have to ask one of them however in any case they were flying the line at the time of the merger.

As captains. All the former West furloughees were line-holding captains in 2005.

Clear, I keep seeing "staple 85%", "staple 90%" of the West yada yada yada. NO DOH does NOT do that!!!!

Many people DO NOT know what the West Proposal was, that is what I'm putting out there. The West proposal was a "staple" job in the pure sense.

My source is valid NIC "Opinion and Award"
Yes it was a proposal. Just like the east proposed DOH. Neither was accepted by the arbitrator. Yet now the east wants to IMPOSE your staple job on the west.

You say that the west proposal of "stapling" 959 is unacceptable. Yet placing "stapling" 1509 west pilots below Monda the junior active pilot is OK. Active is active. A furloughed pilot does not bring a job. Monda represented the bottom of the east list. So anyone junior to him is stapled.

By DOH only 344 west pilots are senior to Monda. 1500 are junior. That is 81.5% of the west pilots are STAPLED. There is no other way to say that.

Are you implying that AWA was always profitable prior to the merger?

Now your last statement I totally agree with, I will only add that one can put any dates they want in both your fields above and that statement will be true LOL

This is what makes me so angry with the east No land. No one wants to do the minimum research to get to the information. Its not just you either its all of them. Yes my brother we were not only one of the few airlines that was profitable, AWA was running classes of 30 pilots a month prior to the merger.

Sorry I just get so hot over this issue and took it out on you because you were there, my bad.

Your post,

"No sir a seniority number is a far cry different than a job!"

AWA320

My question.
Your legal "experts" are doing you no favor. Look at the route map below, what is the fulcrum of your argument, sir?

You are trying to answer boeing boys question, trying to avoid the one I asked you. I am not going to play that BS game. Do not ask me a question when I ask you one, that is evasive.

What you brought to the merger

I have a question.

Is this link to imply that the "West" did not bring any route's to destinations in Europe? And you are trying to imply in a not so sublte way, that since they did not bring it to the "merger" they are not entitled to it? Sort of like their argument about a furloughed pilot? Can't have it both ways it seems. The West didn't bring the routes, but wants them through the nic award, USAPA, wants DOH for all, including the furloughed, neither can get what they want. IMO the lot of you are a bunch of whiney little childern crying to mommy, but the problem is, mommy can't choose a favorite, and I also think that the lot of you should use the EAP and seek therapy. No offense to the posters who actually act in a civilized manner on here,(nic4, nolandgreen, pibrat, and a select few others) to discuss the issues. But again this is my opinion from the outside looking in, from another workgroup that works for this airline. Now let the attacks begin.

What a joke. 561 of 565 posts in the US Airways section and you're on the outside. Right.

And the east has paid hundreds of millions of dollars in lose wages and improved benefits. To get what?

Your numbers are way off. I think it was more like several billion in lost wages and benefits. Kirby sent me a Cc on his emails to you.

I did say that I worked for this airline. The same one you do. I am just not a pilot. Hence the outside lookin in. Does that clear it up? But I guess you read what you wanted to read into my post. Oh Well.

My point is furloughed pilots do have a job, maybe not an active one, but they have a job.
OK, I see your point. A furloughed, nonactive pilot had a job waiting for them in the same place it was just before they left. Absent the merger, assuming USAirways somehow survived and emerged from bankruptcy, what would that job be? Would it not be a junior A320 f/o position? Absent the merger, with the age 65 retirement rule, when would that furloughed pilot return?

IMO, with the Nicolau list he would return to his job exactly where he was when he left, but probably sooner and at higher pay than absent the merger.

I asked a question of boeing boy and awa 320, if I wanted an easy night I would have gone after you.
So do you only respond to posts directed at you, and mind your own business when it wasn't specifically addressed to you?

I guess it takes a hypocrite to know one.

Reminder: this is a public forum. If you only want a response to your crap from on person, there is a Private Message system just for that.

When you die, they should give you an enema, then they could bury you in a match box. Prove anything in the following video wrong. Prove your spin, how you saved anyone.

What america west pilots do not want you to know.
SO......the next time the east hears that same old "we saved you,you owe us" crap. By refering to the" SUMA" tape eliminates the need

to explain this whole thing again. Thanks sumadarson.
