Yes we are getting generic blue and white uniforms from M&H. I should be getting mine in a few days and I'll definitely let you know what they're like.

I can't imagine the generic uniforms looking too different. I remember a while back I was in Asheville, NC enjoying myself while eating at restaurant with a live band when a big tourist bus pulled in the parking lot and all these obnoxious tourists paraded in the restaurant and totally disrupted the band. They were so effin rude talking the whole time (even when the performers were speaking or telling the audience about a song) and complaining about the music out loud so the band could hear them. Anyway, as I made my way through the crowd on the way to the bathroom and made sure to give them all an evil eye in dissaproval of their misbehavior and made a few snide comments about how rude they were being to the band because they pissed me off so effin bad, I looked up and lo and behold was the bus driver! At first I thought he was a US Airways employee but then I thought, what would a US Airways employee be doing here in uniform with this crowd. While these people may represent the type of pax we have on our airplanes, these people came in by bus. It turns out that the gentleman who was wearing our white aviator shirt and navy pants was the bus driver. I swear it was the exact same shirt! So, I don't see how it could be that difficult to find uniform pieces that look like the current uniform. Also, so many of us wear our own sweaters, pants, skirts, etc. you won't stick out at all.

you can buy those "aviator" at any pilot shop. i hate those things. makes you look like a gd security guard.

We had the choice between aviators and some "alternate" shirt. I have no idea what the alternate shirt looks like but I ordered it. Also, we had the option to get shorts.

Thank You. I am already cringing at the thought of those Smurf Blue dresses on a Size 22 body! (Just worked with a relatively young female (early 30s) that literally ate her way through a 4day trip. The pilots even had a few comments on her VORACIOUS Appetite :lol: ) And yes, she will be wearing the blue dress AND skorts according to her. This whole uniform debacle is looking like DISASTER #23 from Tempe (and I am sure my number may be Off). What they should consider issuing are CAPES for our rendition at circUS of "The Greatest Show on Earth" :lol:
 
:blink: I do believe this was mentioned a few posts back but does management truly KNOW that we don't have shorts as part of our CURRENT east uniform? :blink: If it isn't part of the uniform then they shouldn't be offered. I STILL at this day and age can't get over how inept this management team is. They overlook so much, good AND bad. Oh I'm gonna go uniform shopping and get really creative. :lol:
