Let me give you a hint, no Union has any position of strength in bankruptcy.
Bankruptcy sucked and its truly sad that the law could be used to wipe out so much while at the same time giving ceo bonus' etc. The damage to the employee, tax perer: and cities was uncalled for.

Unless the company has billions in the bank and could exit on it’s on and a airline CEO that wanted the worlds largest and needed the unions to make it happen

The silence from organized labor demanding reform is also sad...

not sure how silent labor has been on it but labor hasnt shown that it has that sorta clout anymore. Hopefully it can hold onto what it has. It appears we may b in line for 8 years of republican rule which has nenewed itself with a shift away from weak obama policies.

I'm just a little tiny insignificant Steward bro. I know as much as you do. 😉  Plus I'm not an excitable cat actually.

Actually just spoke with all of them this morning Al. They've been watching you and decided you were their litmus whether or not it's even worth it anymore? I tried to talk them down off the ledge but they decided it's just not worth it anymore and they are all resigning this afternoon. The Nationals of both unions have also decided that they will no longer press forward either and that we will just have to make do with the CBA's that are already in place till 2018.

I begged and pleaded with them but they say they are firm in their decision. They told me to let you know that they are handing over total responsibility to you and you can figure out how to get this done if you'd like. They also threw away all of their work so you'd have to start from scratch. To do our group from start to finish they said that it shouldn't cost you more than $5 Million dollars or so if you have those funds?

Well thanks to you I hope we can entice others willing to do the work in 2018 but I doubt it because I'm sure the IAM and TWU will let the next group know that you're lurking out there always ready with your bag of rocks to throw.

Thanks alot Al. Because of you I think I'll apply for a management position now. Might as well since you ruined the entire chance of us gaining any improvements in Fleet. I'm sure I can cut enough former members throats to get ahead. Won't be too hard if I use people like yourself as my role models for how to think in life.

Here's the reality one more time for the SMART people who read.

Had we locked ourselves in a year ago or even one month ago our BASE wage would have been:

$26.54. $26.54 per year works out to roughly $55,000 (LOCKED IN)

Now we're staring down the barrel of:

$29.27. $29.27 per year works out to roughly $60,000 ($5,000 per year gain)

Now we compound that rate by maybe a 2% per year increase (Compounded) and what it means to our match and who would like to figure out that math?

(Oh I forgot that maybe UAL will bring us up even higher?)

But some morons out there are still screaming hurry up, hurry up? PFFT

Surely you are being sarcastic but the fact remains I cant do any worse then the ASS is doing, First  thing ill do is call for an election it seems to me that most people dont want the ASS so ill put it to a vote. Then I will use some of the dues to hire a professional educated negotiating team. I will  take representatives of MTC and Fleet SEPARETLY and have them meet with our professionals to discuss their needs. Then to the table we will go and since the financial items and healthcare items have already been established we will discuss scope and a few other things and I will have a contract in 3 or 4 months. At the same time MTC reps and our professional team will be meeting with the company to hammer out an agreement

Ok we will wait for UAL. how long have they been at it 5 years? Then we might as well wait until july when DL usually gets their yearly increase. Then I think UAL fleet is up lets wait for them too.  W  where does it end ?

BTW: Let's do one more basic math exercise here.

Let's say we had gotten our increases in January. We would have went from $23.00 BASE to $26.50 BASE.

That comes out to $7280.00 BASE. But again we would have lost the extra almost $3.00 more per hour. $6,240.00 (Times 5 years)

$31,200 LOST..............................

Man that would have really HURT bad!

UA ramp and sent in negotiations, that would be mechanics represented by the IBT.

And UA specifically stated they needed a two week break to reevaluate wages due to AA giving a huge raise to the agents.

Your showing your true colors. I am admittedly obnoxious but i never resorted to playground name calling just because someone doesnt agree with me. What you fail to realize is that you are in the minority put up a survey  and ask how the ASS is doing, look at the results. Did you ever think just for one moment you might be the idiot
