Your showing your true colors. I am admittedly obnoxious but i never resorted to playground name calling just because someone doesnt agree with me. What you fail to realize is that you are in the minority put up a survey  and ask how the ASS is doing, look at the results. Did you ever think just for one moment you might be the idiot
you are correct, now is the time. No need to wait and delay and see what more southwest united or anyone else gets. Grow a set and negotiate and do the job being proactive at this point. Oh wait, we cant even get to the table.

Rushing into a CBA means rushing into a bad one.

Like I and others have stated, if you were successful in rushing an agreement you would all be on here whining about the IAM raise over at DL that will get you an additional 14.5% raise.

Are you claiming that the ASS saw the DL raises coming and strategically waited ? They are not starting from scratch they have two contacts to draw from. Ill bet when they do come to an agreement the contract itself will look pretty much like the contracts we have now

Tim could and should a paid mediator be brought in at this time to work out the differences between the two unions? This clearly isn't working. The folks at ORD are not getting restless?

You and Weaasles continually try to make this point.

You are aware the FAs have a clause in their contract that resets pay if the average between DL and UA goes higher?

It's as simple as making the clause be " higher than DL or UA, whoever is higher, for the life of the contract".

What's that, the very experienced and knowledgable negotiating committee can't get that?
Why not?
We are losing money by the day, every day they delay.
At this point the Association is costing its membership money, the very people that pay their salaries.

Why are we not at the table yet? This is not rocket science.

BTW: Let's do one more basic math exercise here.

Let's say we had gotten our increases in January. We would have went from $23.00 BASE to $26.50 BASE.

That comes out to $7280.00 BASE. But again we would have lost the extra almost $3.00 more per hour. $6,240.00 (Times 5 years)

$31,200 LOST..............................

Man that would have really HURT bad!
I'll give ya a little help,

The D+3 equates to a 21.5% increase from your base of $24.09
Had we locked in the lesser rate before Delta's announcement, of $26.54 we would only see a 10.28% raise.

Now the difference between the locked-in rate v. the D+3 rate as far as your 401k is minimal.
A person would only see a $1190.44 shortfall over 5 years due to less match by the company and missing out on extra earnings calmative per year.

Just who are you exactly? You never posted anything for a period of time and out of the blue, you start asking questions, I have some questions of my own.
Do you work for AA or US?
Because your posts are starting to give you up, I don't think you have a general interest in discussing normal airline business, I think you might be union mole on a fishing expedition. So now it's time to come clean, just who are you and what do you want.

Im a 56 year old LUS fleet service agent hired in 1978 and I want to see some progress towards negotiations. Good enough

I'm guessing this will take about 6 months max to conclude? My Birthday is in May and the timing couldn't be any more perfect. My Birthday present to myself is going to be a 2014 Mustang (Maybe convertible) to go along with my 1998 one that I will do a full restoration on.

You were born sometime in 1959, and you have 37 years plus, and you have a good pension coming to you, sorry I'm not biting.

Wrong, APFA went to Parker to get the 14.5% that DL gave and were told to pound sand, they do have a clause if the AFA gets a JCBA at UA that results in increases.

AA agreed to the clause with UAL because they have a Union and are represented and will have a contract. They won't agree to do that with DL because DL can set any rate they want either up or down.

You also really believe that that they're going to play leapfrog against each other every other month? Ok. Do you want to buy that bridge now?

The ONLY reason that 14.5% happened in the first place is because the IAM drive over there is scaring the fashizzle out of DL management and they're hoping MONEY will shut it down for good.

Thank you IAM for the pressure. Keep up the good work.
