The floor is open to discussion and opinion on this proposed bylaw change?
The bylaw is illegal, first off.
Separate from legalities, their listed reasonings for passage doesnt hold water.

Raising the bar to achieving 10local endorsements out of 42 is steep. Consider that with running for intl office where you have to get 25 out of 1,400 locals.

Of the 42 locals, they cover a geographical range of 7,000 miles from the far pacific to the caribean. Further, 7 of them are dormant with no active members (buf bna cvg, etc) so you might as well eliminate them.

Id rather the union bosses do the right thing instead of me exhausting about 3 days of my time successfully getting a rerun election that once again protects the rights of the members.

We have absolute effing idiots that have no idea how to read or argue a grievance, let alone the law. Ive B slapped iam attorneys left abd right successfully upholding the members federal bill of rights 3 times before and ill do it again if necessary.

albert, from a LUS perspective, the association is going according to plan.My main gripe is that they ought to be negotiating already but i cant see lus being desperate since we have scope and pay raises. Admittedly though the two headed horse hasnt been likeminded and has driven us nuts.

Not desperate. even though what Parker is offering is life changing money to some. Why should  the dues payers be denied a better living just for a few big egos
