Well, the fact that no one seems to want to elaborate on what was said at the meeting pretty much tells me that it was snow and stonewall, in other words, SNAFU.
I just flew a pretty senior trip and if it helps, the senior mamas don't like the smell of any of this.
Unless there is a seriously significant raise, and I don't mean ten bucks, they're primed to vote no also. They hate the idea of PBS and the word is AFA is seriously corrupt right now. The situation is extremely bad.
Is there a worse airline to work for?
Our hotels are crap. Our trips are crap and undoubtedly the company wonders why F/As are so grim with customers. I just flew with a F/A that is undoubtedly a nice person but is GRIMMMMMM. How is US going to compete with a ramped up Delta and United when its employees are so unhappy and badly treated, and theirs aren't?
At this point I suppose reserves have to wait to see the whole wretched thing, but in the meantime it's time to do some math. Six days reserve at Delta,or CO or Jetblue at new hire salary but blockholder status, versus what will probably be a mediocre raise and no hope getting off reserve for another eight years. I realize that the thought of flushing twelve years down the toilet is appalling, but frankly I would do it. Quality of life means everything, not to mention that if you go to their most junior bases i.e probably Kennedy you'll fly the world. Meanwhile no new widebodies and minimal growth in sight. Just my humble opinion.
