AFA labor discussion (Work related)

I agree everyone should get involved. Get involved in knowing what is being sold to you boys and girls. A bill of bad goods filled with horrible language. Just the other day in the crew room a few STILL say, 'I need to see more'. What in HELL is wrong with people? Grab your famous NO tag and sport it loud and proud. If anyone sees a f/a with a YES tag feel free to let me know. It's about time the f/a's TAKE BACK THEIR UNION even if it is one base at a time. One question in regards to the CLT fiasco. What does Cathy think of Flores and his illustrous job thus far?

Have to say I definitely agree with Travelpro on their feelings about the contract that is currently being negotiated. I have already decided that my vote will definitely be no. In fact my response is no...no...and h_ _ _ no!!!!!

Have any of you had the joy 🙄 of working with Cathy Campbell? And that's who will be running against Ann. From what I'm hearing everyone else is bowing out. Correct if I'm wrong.

She is the biggest pain in the tail to work with.

She has to have center stage. She has a pathological need to be the center of attention. F/a's scramble around trying to avoid working with her. The pilots hate working with her too....including her pilot boyfriend.

Oh and if you're over weight....she willl try to get you bounced off you trip...She's done that too. At the cost of thousands of dollars to the company for delaying the flight. Oh yeah.....she's NOT what I'd call an advocate for f/a's.

And Travel.....Ann has always had the interests of the members at heart. We have a very effective council in CLT. Far more so than any of the other ones.

And YES I am a CLT F/A.

Re: Re-Run of Election for Council President


Dear Council 89 Members:

The purpose of this letter to you is to provide you with an update on the status of the elections for Local Officers that were conducted earlier this year.

You may be aware that after the conclusion of the election there was a complaint that alleged we did not have an accurate and up to date membership list, and that this resulted in some members not receiving ballots. After a thorough investigation with the Department of Labor (DOL), we have concluded that this was indeed true.

The reason this happened was due to an error at the International Office. We were not provided the necessary transfer lists by management, so those names were not included on our roster by the date ballots were mailed. We apologize for this error, and the inconvenience it causes.

Please realize that this was an error at the International Office and should not reflect upon any actions or inactions by your Local Council or any of the candidates involved.

We agreed with the DOL that the election for Local President should be re-run so we can conduct an election whereby all members will have a ballot. The election will be run under the supervision of the DOL. Additional information regarding the details of the rerun election is forthcoming.

Anyone know what is going on with the MECP not allowing the MEC Reserve Chair to release an E- Line regarding the RSV TA? 🙄

It is so sad that our MEC President(s) can't even get along with each other, let alone foster a culture of inclusion and idea- sharing within their own ranks. One would think it would be to the AFA's benefit to work together on our behalf, rather than filing lawsuits against each other, silencing MEC members' thoughts on whats been negotiated, not showing up for meetings (CA), silent LEC's, and having the Department of Labor involve themselves in local elections. Heck, the two MEC's can't even agree on whether or not to release the PBS vendor (MEC East did not release the info; AFA 66 released it at their roadshows the same day )

What a goat rodeo. The Company must be laughing at them, all the way to the bank. The JNC agreeing to all these further concessions is just icing on the cake, after five years of substandard wages!

Remember, these are the people negotiating the contract language that YOU will have to live under.

I truly appreciated the work she did THEN about 1.5 years later she called me and asked me to help her go to the local CLT AFA office to dig around. When I told her no, she said "she had helped me in the past and I OWED HER."

This doesn't surprise me in the least. She's a sneak and a gossip. I wouldn't trust her with my cat must less my LEC office.

She has no integrity and will do anything by any means to unseat Ann. I don't think her mind is in the right place. Just my opinion.

I am a CLT f/a and it is very apparent that this post was done by a Council89 LEC officer or someone close to one. So Ann must be freakn out knowing that her days are numbered. Ann has not been effective for the membership in a very long time. She is too busy spreading gossip and trying to trash peoples character. I know that I am and will vote for Cathy. Go team Cathy!!!! 😀

Nope...I'm not a LEC officer. I'm just a f/a that has flown with Cathy off and on for over 20 years. And if you don't believe me...PM me.

And apparently one of the few on this board who has the guts to say what needs to be said.

Cathy used to be a caring and nice person. I can't say that about her anymore. She's become narrow minded, vindictive and useless as a f/a. She creates issues on the plane.

She spews gossip non-stop......This isn't someone I want to have access to my personal information. Ann would go to her grave before she'd ever discuss anyone's issues. Not Cathy....she talks about people's personal info like it's a game. This isn't a game. I take this very seriously. And you should too.

Cathy talks a good game but nine times out of ten she's wrong. And she doesn't get that. Her learning curve is about zero.

She doesn't even show up to meetings on time if she shows up at all. Amazing how people will talk about someone who will actually stand up and fight for us. She has always been there whenever I needed help when no one in the union office would return my call. So as I said you do NOT know Cathy and this is nothing more than a pathic attempt to trash someones good name.

If we Re-elect Ann, we will get exactly what we have been getting.
If we Elect Cathy, she will shake up the current "asleep at the wheel" LEC.

International & Local don't want that. They want things as they are.

If you like the status quo, re-elect Ann, if not vote for Cathy. Simple as that.
