The CWA leadership is already on board and set for company training on this and so is the IAM leadership. No fight from GS here in PHL either. Haven't heard from the New Direction team but I would think they would not support a more restrictive discipline policy and would force big Al to arbitrate.

Janitor,

What the heck is going up there in PHL been hearing some real BS deals going on any word?

MrX
I have been hearing some real BS too. At this point in time RC has no business deciding anything. It would not supprise me one bit for him to try and screw us over one more time.

Sorry my friend. I can't take credit for saying that. I do remember someone saying that but the committee's hands were tied. They were not responsible for who got what dates.

On another note I love the name. May the "Speedbird" always fly.

Here's who said it!

QUOTE (Turbo19 @ Sep 26 2008, 11:52 PM)
The reason it was done that way is because that is what the seniority integration comity decided. The comity was made up of 6 fleet service employees that were appointed by the IAM 3 from HP and 3 from US. 6 people decided this for all of us. They based their decision on not what was fair but on what worked to there own advantage.

And my response was!

I don't think that's a fair assesment of how or why it happened this way. What advantage would there be? The 3 US guys had a contract to go by that contained language that handcuffed them I believe. With all the layoffs and class changes we had, (to RES for example) what could they do? Maybe this would have to be voted on as does the 10.5 hr day as a major change.
The 3 HP people, you must remember, never had layoffs, i believe, so thats why so many have the same dates.

Does anybody have a copy of the "New" attendance policy? I would love to take a look at it. Sounds like it sucks, but I have not seen or heard anything yet. When is it supposed to take effect? 18 more days untill Christmas in October. We are officially on the T-minus countdown now.

PJ
I haven't seen anything. All I heard is it is to be based on a points system and trying to encourage you to go see a doctor when you call in sick.

that's just dandy ...

SO .... on top of my being sick ...

i need to spend , oh how much is the co pay to see a doctor 25 , 50 dollars ? on TOP of getting HALF PAY for my sick day ????

I normally dont wanna point fingers but the middle one is pointing straight up right now. Its funny Free Dumb is now complaining about having to pay for medical if forced to go to a doctor. Wait till Jan 09 buddy! The folks that earned the right to complain are the ones with eyes who read the Parker playbook and voted against the agreement. Perhaps he can spend his recently earned bonus on his next few runs to the doctor. From the sound of his most recent post he gets sick alot so he better get ready to dig deep into his pockets to bring a note to the principal.

Like I said before Freedom......Our contract sucks and so does the reality working under it.

I was on this committee and have been on record stating DOH is my preference. West did not get DOH.

P. Rez

P.Rez is right. I have a copy of the west seniority list that was emailed about a year or so ago. There are a couple people with different dates ( like #2) but not more than a few days for some reason. I will enclose an example, so all can see that even a year ago the dates were the same and if P.Rez was to have gotten date of hire, he should be 1986 when he shows 1987

So thats why I say the committee had nothing to gain. The dates were there all along for the west. The TA said seniority integration from the west to the east or visa versa, but our dates were already there and so were theirs.

oh that's easy , haven't you heard .. the new attedance poilcy is

YOU CAN NEVER CALL IN SICK ..... EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah that's right , our CONTRACT , "SAYS" we have sick days , but try using them and see how fast you get written up ... it's B.S i tell you , B.S .... not to mention that PHX admin (so i hear ) has been on a firing spree lately ... stick your head up and your likely to get it chopped off ..

they really need to ease off the termination spree .. morale is being destoryed here ..... not to mention there's now a cuture of fear running through our work place ....

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH boy do I get a belly laugh over this whiner.. YOU GET WHAT YOU VOTED FOR ...

and enjoy your insurance prems for 3 more months cause come JAN .. sticker shock will set in .

WAY TO GO FREEDOM .. YOU MADE MY DAY..  L*S*R

oh , don't get me wrong had enough .... i personally needed this contract , changed sick policy and all , without it , i'd have been unable to continue living .... when gas was spiking to 4 dollars , if i had been on the TWU wage scale , i'd have been a goner for sure ....

and i should remind you (as i so like to ) as i predicted , the economy is worseing .. i said it before back then that we needed to pass the TA because the times ahead were going to become very rough , and i stand behind those statments today .....

While i'm no stock broker , or wall street expert , if you want some free advice , i'd wait till after the market spikes up after the bail out is announced and then at the peak of the spike , if any of you have stock , i'd suggest you sell for what little you can get .. we stand here today on the CUSP of the great depression ... perhaps with one foot in the pool already ....

and once again .. exactly when is the sky falling so I can go hide in my fall out shelter. this is the 4th gloom

and doom story you've preached.. Dude get over yourself. the only person that believes you is YOU. which

is sad. cause at least my dog listens to me .

I've heard some great advice in my short life...
1. Leave the "TIPS" to the waitresses.
2. The end of the world only comes once.

Life is too short to be playing chicken little.
O-MAN, I think we'll get along famously when I get to CLT. See ya soon.

Stay positive folks. Leave the gloom and doom to Stephen King.

Hey when will you be here ?

I really feel sorry for those of you who bought
this last agreement. Not in the sense of pity but
in the sense of belief. If you trurey believed you
were getting the best deal, that you felt you could
make, than you believed wrong. ''freedom'' I hope
for everyones' sake that you are employed by the
company as a liason' for the management group.
Because if not I'll ask why didn't you take the time
to pick up a phone or pm someone and ask more
questions before agreeing to this. If it was not obvious
that the ease of casting a vote was not provided for
everyone as easy as it was provided for you than you
should have questioned, WHY ?? RC got what he wanted
and as much as I'd like to believe he'll get his just due,
I will not wait for it. This vote insured him of security and
at whose expense ? Not mine, I saw what I was getting
and was not fooled but its' how the majority voted and
I'll sit with it.
