I am not one who was thrilled with the last T/A, but the price of Oil isn't the only factor here. While the price of Oil has plumetted, so has the overall economy. The cost of fuel could be dirt cheap, but if people don't have the cash to buy tickets it is meaningless. There are going to be many jobs lost overall, and you can bet those people won't be going on vacation. I would expect that business travel will decline as well.
Please don't get me wrong here, but getting anythimg more out of this company would be a pipedream today. Hopefully times will be better when we go to the bargaining table in the future. This company is known for it's stall tactics, and they would have stretched negotiations out as long as possible. Even if we held out until the end of 09, they would have ran it well past that mark.

IMO, having met both B.C.'s mentioned above, either one should be shown the exit door, as both are worthless.

And given the capital markets have tanked while the company has posted huge losses we will all be lucky to have a job within a year if things don't turn around in the near future. I am grateful for my increased pay in the meanwhile while understanding my unemployment benefits are based upon my recently increased pay rate during the 12 months prior.

Anyone in their right mind who thinks the company would have come back with a better offer needs to COMAT some of that stuff to PHX so I may partake in it during my two week vacation.
