As November gets closer, the war between the East and the West is beginning to escalate.

There seems to be no war here in LAS between FSE. However Mgmt is a different story. RR please enlighten US

Why would there be war? seniority rules whatever issues might come up
(i.e.) days off, vacation, work assignments in some stations. Why should there be any problems. It sounds more like a personality thing in regards to a war being started

At our station with east/west ramp, we are not even on speaking terms, anymore. You can cut the tension with a knife. This is what can be defined as a hostile work environment. I dread going to work.

That sounds rough. Good thing you don't need to speak to load a plane. Hand signals can be a life saver. I'm just so surprised to hear about tension, the guys in CLT all seem to be cool, with regards of a "Westie" joining their ranks. I hope they don't hassle me when I get there, ' 'cause once I start crying I just can't stop.

We aren't allowed to work on east flights (or handle east bags in the bag room). After the TA was signed, we began working east flights but someone on the east side got upset and called the union. We aren't allowed to help unless it's a "Helping Hands" situation. Helping Hands is poorly defined. They get upset if we help and upset when we don't. It's very frustrating.

i thought it was understood that we weren't allowed to touch there stuff until NOV, cut and dry. I know of the helping hands thing, but If put in that situation I would ask if they needed help and if refused, I would walk away, no harm no foul. Same as HP. You can offer your help and if refused, what can u do, right? But come NOV', if told you gotta help on their flight, just work the flight 'til done and walk away.

Knees come on to CLT...and bring other Westies....you'll be welcomed....especially if you have less than 15-20 yrs.. LOL....and if you want to work my flight ....feel free...I'll never turn down an extra hand.....matter of fact I'll stay in the breakroom and watch Springer....

Just got a call that the ''New Direction Team'' will be
in PHL Saturday. Wow, theyve been to PHL twice in the
past 5 months. Thats' two times more than PF and RC
along with BC have been to the station the past few
years.
Funny, first thing everyone asks is why ? Maybe, just maybe
they want to keep the lines of communication open. Good
to hear and good to see.

The sun is slowly setting and with it brings the promise
of a "NEW'' day.

Do you waork inside or out in LAS? My understaning is that it is not happy camp in LAS.

To answer your question, East has ALL of the SENIORITY, but West seems to think they have all of the POWER since PHX calls the shots. Which makes West think that somehow that POWER is going to override East SENIORITY. But they know deep down in their hearts that it ani't gonna happen. Thus we must circle up the wagons to begin the WAR of ANIMOSITY!

Don't worry about CLT----It's such a melting pot that's its hard to even find folks who actually started there...Everyone gets along great and you'll do just fine...See ya soon!
