Word is...... that the company refused to hear the case in an arbitration settting and gave our AGCs everything they asked for. This is the perfect step in the Right Direction Keep it up boyz!!! bring them all back
Tally yo, I agree. One thing I wish everyone on here would realize, is that the guys we have in place right now, are having to do a lot of cleaning up from the mess that was left behind from years of neglect. Its not going to happen over night. We didnt get ourselfs in this mess in one year. So its going to take awhile to get out of this mess, but I am seeing results from the New Direction Team. I think if we give them time(which many of us dont want to do) we will be pretty happy with the results. I think in the next year, we will see a lot of things beneficial from the ND team. Again they have been cleaning up a big mess, now they have finished the cleaninig, lets see what they can do!!!

Can only speak for PHL but FO is doing a great job. Our Local committee is also doing a great job. This is the best representation we have ever had here. A very solid group. Also, I haven't heard about what Tally ho is talking about but I am quite interested in knowing about the attendance arbitration that was awarded since precedence starts at level 3.

What is everything they asked for?

I'm wondering what the case was. Attendance?

EDIT: Just reread posts and figured attendance. I would expect the proverbial "made whole in every way"; back pay, file expunged, and an agreement, in principal, to develop a new policy. I say in principal because I don't see a new one being worked out in one shot, but that the Company recognises that a new one is needed to be jointly worked toward.

EDIT 2: My question now is where does this leave the others? Is the Company cherry picking, dumping the cheap guaranteed losers and fighting for the expensive (terminations with back pay) cases that are worth fighting to them?

Well I hear it was whatever the grievant asked for so I assume back pay and all seniority!!!!!!!! Yes it was attendance. The company I assume will play the game now and take the union to arbitration on every case and settle before an arbitrator rules. They will make the union spend your dues on this and they will spend your profits on this!!!!! This is how they wil get away from a precedent setting ruling!!!!

Jester where is your response to my question about the FT leads in PHX I asked about weeks ago?

It's an interesting question. Especially when during some shifts there are more upgraded agents team leading than there are "hired-on" team leads, even more so when they're upgrading those agents that have signed the no-pull list.

This annoys some hired-on TL's because they feel they should be offered the opportunity for overtime before they upgrade agents. And of course there is the issue of the all the phantom TL positions supposedly on hold in PHX.

The person I'd imagine having the most insight on this would be P.REZ.

I know but Jester has been running his mouth about other peoples station so i thought he could speak on his own for once. Im sure there is a grievance on it and it will take its course, but thats how this company plays the game file the grievance we will see you in arbitration a year and a half from now. They are PRICKS!!!

I know first hand on the company dragging feet I had a case that took a very long time the terms of which I cannot discuss in an open forum due to a EAP issue. The fact is the company is the enemy but some folks on here seem to think its our fault. Yes I said its our fault you me and us are the union and when we bicker and point fingers the company sits back and drags its feet even more on cases.
I suggest we all make a new years resolution to combat the real enemy the company execs who piss on us on a daily basis.

Goodfellow,
Hope you had a merry christmas and thanks for all the info. I must say that our union has turned around 100% here. There was so much dealmaking going on with PF and most grievances were never handled and most of the station was up in arms. PF never gave reports and hardly was even at a union meeting. I must admit that during this time, I didn't have much love for GS either. But things have changed and GS has proved me wrong. Him and our whole LC have done a great job now because they FINALLY have the support they need from the District, thanks to FO. I might add that management should count its blessings because they have benefitted with less problems and more professionalism. I'm not saying we are the most professional but trust me this station has cleaned up alot. Of course, management is probably clueless about how much money they saved by having a workforce that isn't as pissed off as before. It also seems like our local management works with our union representatives better than it did a year ago but that's probably a result of FO not rolling to his side like PF did.

BTW, Tally ho mentioned an attendance grievance being won. Do you know if the union is handling each attendance grievance separately or as a collection? Any insight is appreciated since our biggest issue here is attendance.

FO has been doing a good job he is on the property almost everyday. He has been doing a good job with the committee and have noticed a return from his efforts. Overall I would have to agree with the janitor.
