Happy new year all..

If there is any more info about the attendance arbitration hearings, please let us know.

iam141.org has nothing.

Someone suggested that they will hear cases individually now, but I thought that was null and void now since they agreed to hear it as a whole to save time. That was an update from iam141.org:

http://iam141.org/archives/unitednegotiations17.html

Any info is appreciate, and keep up the good work fellas.

Would like to get back into the bin soon.

Hey Bud did you miss this update

TRANSFER BID, POINT SYSTEM
December 2, 2009 — More than a month ago, on October 28, 2009, US Airways management announced job reductions. Mainline cities were their target, with LAS being the most hard hit. On November 16, 2009, US Airways management declined a request for additional time for employees to submit transfer bid requests.
TRANSFER BID AWARDS DECEMBER 13; EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 15, 2010

District 141 will assure that Member seniority is fully protected. AGC's Mickey Hughes, Nick Handlow, V.P. at-Large Mike Fairbanks, and LAS committee person Steve Willis will be in Tempe, Arizona on December 3, 2009 to meet with the company and observe the process. Bids will be awarded December 16, 2009, with an effective date of February 15, 2010
COMPANY IMPOSED POINT SYSTEM IN ARBITRATION

District 141 AGC’s continue to arbitrate cases resulting from the company imposed point system. District 141 believes there are grievances that hold merit, and there are potential areas of violation of the collective bargaining agreement. Arbitration is a long, meticulous process. District 141 understands the frustration of Members against US Airways for imposing their flawed program on its employees. DL141 will be obtaining more information about point system arbitration, and making it available to Members on iam141.org.
Members seeking information about specific grievances will want to attend local lodge meetings for the local’s monthly report.
Members with questions about any outstanding grievances should contact your AGC.

Right, I read that update awhile ago, and some of the recent posts of what other people have been hearing.

So what I'm reading here, is that grievances that "hold merit" will get jobs back, but what about others?

Are they trying to avoid a blanket arbitration decision that would benefit us all, or do only a few of us stand to get our jobs back?

The questions people have been asking, and nobody has answered, definitively, were what concessions did the company make this last meeting, and where do we go from there?

I fully understand this is a long process, and it is the holidays, but I feel we are due for a little update here.

Thank You.

Also, while I have the forum, I would like to remind people to pursue unemployment if they are fired over this policy. Fortunately, the state of Arizona didn't agree with the policy makers of our company, that it was entirely my fault. It has been a big help.

I would suggest ask your AGC... If you dont know him ask the grievance committee !!!! I believe the stance is to fight them all separately. But get with you AGC or GC and find out whats going on each situation is different and unique Im sure!

Okay. Thanks Tally.

I hope that isn't the case. I don't think that sends a strong enough message to the company.

They still win in the end. They get to reduce the workforce unfairly, and only a majority of people that lost their jobs will get them back, even though everyone who lost their job were under the same policy.

Heard some disturbing news today in the breakroom. I heard that CLT maybe having to have
another election for the Lodge officers because someone who lost protested. WTF is that all about and when
will we be voting again and are we going to be told who is protesting and why .

I have the same questions as the above poster. Whats going on with the CLT elections and If and when will we have to vote again
does anyone know if its on the agenda for the next Union meeting its a daylight meeting so I won't be able to attend

This is great I'm glad to see local reps get involved this way! Harry Reid has done a lot for US Airways and its time for him to step in and say give me something back!!!! If people want to read more on this issue go to LVRJ.com and and the las vegas sun. I hope Harry Reid with his powers and influence in congress can influence Parker to change his mind or offer tax breaks to US to keep us going in LAS. In over one years time we have puled over 100 flts out of LAS

You guys got your "Pocket Sized" contracts yet??? What's it been, a year and a couple of months that it was contractually due? Hey AGCs, how are these talks going?

You could have picked a more significant issue to come back to? I know what the contract says....BIG ...or......SMALL

Hey Porky or Hogs and Pigs,

My AGC MW told me its a dead issue because AGC BC (now retired) agreed on a settlement to not force the company to reprint them. I suggest you get with MW or BC if you can find them and ask them. It kinda stinks that they had hopes of focing a company to do something contractually to find out that the old Canale regime agreed to not force them to do it. Hey Hogs and Pigs what city are you from? maybe we can converse somtime!! Please PM me!! I havent seen you on here in a while

This is NOT true!!! That's what the "No Direction" want you to believe because they are incapable of arguing the language in a grievance.

I'll consider the PM request.
