We had a dues increase go into effect this paycheck for all fleet agents in clt, it was 2.25 a paycheck, or 4.50 a month. I dont know how much other locals went up, but I assume they did. The I.A.M. negotiated a 2% raise to go into effect on the next paycheck on the last T/A. By my math, (which could be wrong, so someone correct me if it is) thats a .39 an hour increase for a topped out agent. Which if Im correct, results in about 30.00 more a paycheck. Heres what gets me!! Hundreds of people will #### and complain about paying 2.25 more a paycheck to get 30.00 more a paycheck. While I do have some college education, I still cant figure it out. That seems like a pretty good investment to me, but people will complain about the 2.25, but you wont here one "Thank You" for the union getting them a 30.00 a paycheck raise.
While like everyone else: I wish it could be more, at least its something. I dont get it? As Charlie Brown would say! "G O O D G R I E F !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
