ATTENTION FLEET: SEIZE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR CHANGE!

This Membership has come to realize that the current Leadership of this Union is complacent,
self-serving, and generally out of touch with what this hard working, dues paying Membership demands from a Union that represents them!

This has been repeatedly brought to the IAM’s attention. Not once have they even acknowledged a need for change or attempted to put their finger on the pulse of this Membership!

Those days will soon come to an end! Canale and the other Officers of this Union have been pleaded with numerous times over the years to become transparent, forthcoming, and attentive to this Membership…all to no avail.

In the past… here in CLT… the only times anyone from the IAM ever even attempted to communicate with us, was when they were selling us a substandard contract, or trying to preserve their own positions!

Fortunately, that has changed with the introduction of our new Grievance Committee. The Grievance Committee that we (Fleet) have elected here in CLT has proven that dedicated, attentive, and diligent people in key positions can, and will make a difference in changing things for the better!

We will apply this same formula to the Officer Elections in June…and we will achieve the same results!

Just thought I'd share some thoughts on the election coming up. Us "westies" have been told in the past that it doesn't matter how we vote, because CLT and PHL rule. Well that didn't hold true with the TA. We joined together and our voice was heard. I believe that will happen with the district election also. CLT and PHL are old, bitter, employees and will buck the system any time they can.



When you put the time in you could call them old, when you give up what they have given up you can call them bitter....

BTW, I have 21 years, finally got my first raise since 2000 and am bitter towards Dougie and his crew for the screw job he's giving all employees.

Listen to the senior people. Listen to the people who have been with a legacy airline. Listen to the people who can smell bulls### a mile away. Word in PHL is that Canale as a UA board member gets several thousand for attending each UA board meeting, and I'd bet they're meeting alot right now. With his district salary and the BOD pay he must be worth a fortune not to mention the conflict of interest.


We really have to get rid of him and his goons come June!


P.S. We vote June 3 at the union hall 7am 'til 7pm.

Now I don't understand what this comment was for but really this is like the 100th post saying the same s@&t. Give it a rest and come up with something original or constuctive or just don't say anything at all. You all on the east seem to be more worried about the westies jobs than we do. Or is it your worried about our jobs too and just want us to feel quilty for it. Who's dumber the new guys who voted for the TA and might lose their job to only find something better or the senior legacy guy who has stuck around only to keep getting screwed and just keeps complaining about it? Either way its guys like you who will always keep us divided.

I agree. You know, I believe it was Parker and the chimps who coined the phrase: East and West. I don't recall PSA being refered to as the "West" or PI as the "South" That comment was not directed to the West. Stick together guys, find out the full facts and how they will effect ALL involved. I too agree. We are one and the biggest thing is to get the former TWU guys on the same page as us both on contract issues, grievance issues, and safety issues. We have been fighting this battle for a while and need to get everyone up to speed.
