Looks like we ran the other thread over as it appeared rather slow. Here's the new topic.

Hear yahh Edward...

I'll bet this seniority issue will rile tha boys up! Ain’t gonna be slow this week! Git yer warnin's ready!

Has anybody actually seen the list? How was it compiled? Some have DOH and some have an adjusted date?

I have not seen it is it under lock and key?

It shouldn't be. It's suppose to be posted for all to see. My station has posted the whole list and then seperated out the station P/T and F/T which means we have 3 seperate lists.
I think it's by Class and Hire dates only.

According to Rat Tails the Grievance Committee in CLT has a copy of it and there is also a copy in admin. You will have to ask the ladies in admin to see it. I have no idea how it is in other stations.

The West got date of hire on the new integrated list. Notice all their class dates and hire dates are the same. The East still loses time with adjusted class dates. East agents hired after 1998 do not lose any time to adustment. I don't understand why senior East agents are are being penalized with adjusted class dates. CWA got rid of adjusted dates for pax svc agents. This is something the New Direction 08 crew can get straightened out for us.

The reason it was done that way is because that is what the seniority integration comity decided. The comity was made up of 6 fleet service employees that were appointed by the IAM 3 from HP and 3 from US. 6 people decided this for all of us. They based their decision on not what was fair but on what worked to there own advantage.

i know i will get my senority back when I begin in BWI, my question is this: I was 22 days short of my 7th yr when I was furoughed from Mainline--June 2005. I was hired june 27 1998. Also what types of health insurance does USAIR have now? I have accepted the BWI ramp lead position but am awaiting on hearing for a start date which will probably take a bit longer due to the background checks.

Your seniority has accrued while you were on furlough as far as bidding etc. I'm not sure about your pay seniority to be honest. I will attach a link where you can check on your benefit options thru the Hub. It is as follows, and you will have to set up a user name since you are a first time visitor. You should appear with your dependents all listed, but your benefit selections will all show "waived" at this point. You may have to call to get them to show you as an active employee again. When you see a box that permits to to Select benefits, you are good to go.....
Also, once you register you can view all of the benefit plans and their costs.

I don't think that's a fair assesment of how or why it happened this way. What advantage would there be? The 3 US guys had a contract to go by that contained language that handcuffed them I believe. With all the layoffs and class changes we had, (to RES for example) what could they do? Maybe this would have to be voted on as does the 10.5 hr day as a major change.
The 3 HP people, you must remember, never had layoffs, i believe, so thats why so many have the same dates.
P.Rez. You Agree? You called the station thurs but I was working a flt and you didn't call back? PM me!

I have two seperate dates. One is DOH which is used as a pay seniorty date (irrelevant since I am topped out) and when flying non-rev (Also irrelevant since DOH and adjusted date are in the same year and it only goes by year not actual date hired). My other date is an adjusted date because I only get credit for half of the time I was P/T. I have never been laid off nor have I ever changed departments. We should all either be DOH or adjusted date not both.

Wasn't the 1/2 accrual a Teamster thing?

The problem over the years was that unless you kept f/t in some way, i believe they gave you 1/2 the credit as an adj date. Some I work with went to res for 8 yrs and then came back. I think the contract says something about continuous service( but I would have to look). There are instances past where with your package you got to accrued seniority for I think 3 yrs? Either way there are going to be a lot of different opinions. Not all are going to be satisfied.
Again I don't know too much on how the HP fleet got one date but I think that P. Rez can help out on that one.

It's the same thing with uniforms....why p/t only gets 1/2 the compliment I can't figure.

Mike
I'm not sure where the 1/2 credit for P/T came from exactly. When I first upgraded to F/T the date that was used was the date you went F/T. That was with Piedmont. A few years later we were given the 1/2 credit sometime after USAir took over.

I agree about the uniforms. P/T or F/T most still work at least 5 days a week. The way I see it is I have 10 company provided shirts and 5 company provided pants that are being replaced. The same should go for the P/T. What they have currently is what should be replaced.

With a little more than 3 weeks or a mere 23 days to go till the JAX convention is everyone set on there plans?

I'm planning my Roadtrip to Fla! I Plan on being there Monday around noon. I'm Lookng towards seeing

everyone, the delegates , guests and our newly elected E board! Its been a long and winding road the last

10 months and I can't believe we are already moving into October. What a year to remember!
