should be interesting getting that down there 😛h34r:

USAIRWAYS appears to have money to burn... I got this from a little birdie.

The last two nights (Thurs & Fr) Fleet Service agents have been forced mandatory over time in violation of the contract. Thursday they forced the entire shift to stay, Friday it was part timers only. The managers are to lazy or do not know how to determine the number of late flights and the proper amount of employees to keep. So they keep everyone with most doing nothing and just wasting money. Another very sad example. Since Tempe reads this board they need to wake up & get on these managers for wasting money.

Shoooot!

The sandcastle has NO clue how to run a major corporation. Nobody working in any department knows anything over the basics.

I lose sleep over how much money gets wasted between all of the departments doing things half butted.

I hope your co worker out there doesn't read this. He,ll come out from under that desk and smack you around

Hey there's something i think should be adressed by our union . i read in the new company news letter that we're doing away with the sky caps and the ticket counter people will be taking those postions ? what gives , that's BAGGAGE handling ... now if the ticket counter people want to work the kiosk that's fine , but if there are people assiting the PAX it needs to be US .... this needs to be a joint operation and our union needs to make a point about this !!! please addresses this and be forcefull about it ..

Secondly , i'm tired of the organge tabard getting in the way of brining a plane into the gate ... we're sometimes taking delays of several minutes while our agents scramble to find an organge vest because we can be written up if we don't wear one when we bring in an A/C .. and this is in BROAD DAYLIGHT!!!! now on the PM shift ok i can see the saftey issue but not on the AM ! if this company is serious about being the number one for on time arrivals then i think it's high time to bend on this rule .... i can see the pilots , they can see us , i can see my fellow agents ... why don't we speed things up a bit and allow some leway so we can get things going! rock and roll baby ! but really this is a serious issue , times have changed we need to be more efficent , so i hope the company will really consider this .

ain't happening, the company has to file with the FAA what procedures they will use orange vests are part of that procedure
do you not have a company issued vest? Is it too difficult to carry it in your pocket? or are you and some of your coworkers just lazy and are trying to cut corners?

Its called a safety issue!!!! Thats why the vests, easy to spot. How many times do you see more than one ramp person standing around when the a/c rolls in? The guy with the vest is in charge!! Know a jetway driver who sped things up once, right up a man's leg. Last I heard the leg was taken off....yep, lets speed things up!!! Whether you realize it or not those big pieces of metal are pretty unforgiving...

Just how many years have you been here?????

AP this is the type of agent who is a hazard to himself and his co workers. He is willing to sacrifice safety to help out the company. The company on the otherhand could care less about him.
he will learn this if he is ever hurt on the job and is found non compliant of safety procedures

Have to agree with you 100% Garfield. I do get a kick when that type of person is given their paperwork by the company, they usually go kicking and screaming all the way out the door!!!
