So Freedom. another year has passed without the meltdown.

What isn't going to happen next?
 
Rez, what your telling me is the GC has no power in PHX, you filing grievances doesnt work... so step it up to the next level, you did organize the ramp, so Im sure you can organize them again. All you have done was keep giving excuses on how the company doesnt respect you and just walks over you. There is no such thing in our contract as Qualified TLs, its seniority driven only. And your wrong those openings from PHX were put out system wide for bid so all could bid on them and it just so happens most were from LAS due to seniority. I have seen no response in the bulletin board regarding supervisors spying on us or any of the other topics we've discussed previously. PHX needs a leader who is it going to be? From what Ive been hearing I wish it was jester or PJirish, if freedom didnt defend the company for actions that happen in the parking lot I might even consider him over you

The District has hundreds of grievances that are going to be heard in mediation and/or arbitration because of disputes of contractual language etc. I have never said that the company doesn't respect me or the GC. The company has said that they can do the TL's this way and it must be arbitrated if they don't agree. The PHX GC does not have the authority to tell the district to arbitrate anything. When we can't resolve an issue we can send it to the district with our recommendation to arbitrate but ultimately it is their call. As to the posting, it will come soon when I can get the time to put it together. Maybe you should step up if you are not satisfied with what the GC in PHX is doing. I always like countering views as to how to resolve an issue.

The company knows that the District officers including Delaney are weak and incompetent there is no support from the top. So why should they resolve anything?

You know this how exactly? I have had plenty of support from the top on down. As for the company, the company is still upset that canoli and his merry band of theives, AKA the yes men, are gone, and can no longer just jam stuff through with us anymore. So now all the company does is delay the grievance process via denying all grievance's so as to prolong any sort of resolution. The IAM's hands are tied when it comes to resolving grievance's with this sort of action from the compnay. Obviously you have issue with Delany and the current District officers, were you perhaps on the losing side of the election and are a little bitter? It's people like you that make us and the union weak. The way I see it here, you have two options, option 1- step up and get involved and try to make a difference, or option 2- do nothing and whine about how nobody is working for you. Either way, quit-yer-bitchin' and choose.

No the problem was, cornhole and his yes men were never true unionist's and Parkers boys got used to walking over Cornhole. They were in it for themselves and whatever gains they could make for themselves. The recent activity of his diciples in ord just shows the true colors of cornhole trying to leave scorched earth in their rejection by the membership. The PHX leadership needs to step up to the plate, and quit pouting because cornhole and his diciples were cast from the union hall. PHX the troubles seem to be centered around you. Ask yourselves why? The rest of the system seems to get things resolved.

ORDTA I think I'm going to go back to the UA forum and put my 2 cents in, since you can't keep yourself from getting involved in US business. The membership rejected you not once, but twice. Most learn the first time but personally, I hope you never learn because, I like voting against you and watching you cry, and protesting the results to whoever may listen. How did your last protest work out for you? What is your work area preference? Do you need any uniforms?

The ND has the Membership's back and they know it. We are solid.

So all the grievances everywhere but PHX are solved? PJ Irish states that the company says no to all grievances everywhere, which is it?

Delaney and the current officers have more testicular fortitude than Cornhole ever had... even in his wettest dreams! As far as the incompetent comment... The current officers are the most focused, creative, and educated group we have ever had to represent us.

Ive been hearing of backlogged grievances since 2007, the Sh*t that happens here happens nowhere else...why?? bcuz the GC puts a stop to it.. Im sure that DS, and RH, and BW love reading this knowing that the GC has no strenght in PHX to do anything to stop it

Are you reading the other posts? A poster on this same page says that the company is delaying the process. The district is setting up mediation dates because of the backlog of hundreds of grievances. This isn't a PHX thing, it's a problem the district is having everywhere. I'm sure if said management is reading this thread they love your posts and how they undermine Unionism.

I will agree that the problem is not isolated to just PHX, it is a systemwide problem with regards to resolving outstanding grievances. With the last sentance of your post though, I have issues with. I think you have posted stuff to undermine the current leadership of the IAM now haven't you? So pot meet kettle. People in glass houses and all.
 
P Rez, Mgmnt knows about PHX!!! what they read hear is nothing different.. Im asking you to do what you did in 98... stand up and fight and B*tch slap the company... Im also asking what did the company do to those managers who openly harass us up in the gate area? Do we need a water cart break again to show solidarity? we do get thirsty in the desert....

Do you mean playing golf literally or figuratively? Just asking because PRez fired the phx chair, JK, back in the day because he was going out drinking with the ramp director. If someone is going and literally playing golf with management, that is fraternization. Correct?

The hypocrisy and double standards are the staples of the phx diet. The former twu 580 president canned the phx chair for fraternization yet he plays golf with management. Shameful. Guess what's good for the goose isn't always good for the gander.

First, I haven't golfed in 4 years and when I did play it was never with management. As for the JK situation, the TWU executive board voted to release him and it wasn't for fraternization. JK is a very integral part of the GC here in PHX and I would hope that you could let this go. He had some personal issues at the time and I'll leave it at that.
