700 you are correct in saying he's still a consultant, although I gotta give Hemminghaw points for Bit** slapping Canale every chance he gets. He plays him like a freakn clay pigeon.Ask ALPA, he is directly involved in their negotiations and the AFA.

As far as a new TA, regardless of wage, it must have COC merger language that is not found at the bottom of cracker jacks boxes. The negotiations team should mirror Parker's new COC language as opposed to the meaningless COC language the IAM got from the cracker jacks box and didn't even discuss with the company.
It won't matter if fleet got the best contract in the industry if the COC language sux during a merger. Investors will want workers to pay for the merger over time. If Parker's COC language is good enough for him then it should be good enough for fleet service. If us airways sez it can't give such COC language then you know fleet is fixing to get screwed in any merger, possibly a complete decert which would be even worse. AA's merger language is a pretty decent start.
