IAM Nominations and Results

Maybe I am being picky here, but I didn't see much in the way of qualifications for those mentioned, and I even know some of them to be decent people.

I guess my point being, while there an agenda and seemingly nice enough and well-intention enough people on the New Directions slate, that doesn't mean they know what they are doing (not to say the IAM All-Star Team has impressed me all that much either in the past two years).

Mashing bags doesn't an effective experience make. How about something about their backgrounds? Education? Training as it relates to their desired positions? Work experience? I don't think this is being unreasonable as I hope this election does not get down to being a popularity contest with bright promises followed by dismal performances.

So Opines Jester.

Jester, what you say is true, mashing bags doesn't effective experience make. But then again, it is better than sucking up to the current leadership regime which is how most of the current group of Canale cronies got their jobs. PF and BC and others at the US side of the District just were better at sucking up and being in the right place (called PHL) when Canale needed PHL's vote. All those guys knew before that was how to be thugs and muscle. If you do not believe me, ask the TWU after the PHL 22 got to them.

JM was the best guy we had, but it took Canale seeing he needed BOS votes to get him placed near the negotiations table. Canale then saw he needed more votes to put through the contract so he made BDL a Class One city. I do not remember their flight amounts then, but they currently would not be Class One. He made them Class One to buy votes.

Dude you really need to lay off the hater-juice. I don't have the numbers you are the one posting them. The nominations are only representive of the members who physically show up to the meeting and vote. So if a station has 2000 members and 50 show up for nominations thats is only 50, everyone will be given the opportunity to vote in June. Contrary to your statement nominations do not represent the entire members. I think they can't carry their home slates is because everyone thinks Randy filed bankruptcy and not the company. Everyone believes Randy mergered the companies when it was the company. Do you support the Company more that your Union? How can he get anything thing done when the company reads these sites and know there is no solidarity not even amoungst each other. Not very responsible. T... I don't even think you could have done better. And if you could have what would you have done?
You don't make sense. You talk about how experienced Randy is and then say our slate doesn't have any experience. First, to be clear, it isn't the experience of the leaders that is a mearsuring stick, but rather, what have the members 'experienced' under that leadership. Therin is what is fueling this slate. Members at UA and US have had it with managements lap dog.

Secondly, our slate has 'loads' of experience, including the most senior AGC, Rich Delaney. Most are either Local presidents or Local Grievance chairman. But they don't have experience selling out members with goofy contracts if that's what you're talking about.

Thirdly, if your slate is doing so good then why did HNL just hammer your slate members? People aren't stupid, if your guys were doing a good job then I wouldn't be writing this to you now. Why did PHL, DEN, ORD, HNL, JFK all vote against your hometown guys and gals? Has anyone on your slate even won their home nomination and carried their entire ticket? I think the answer is nobody.

The good thing is that the company lapdog is so arrogant that his own eyes still aren't open and his refusal to bow down to this great humiliation will not only throw him out of office but he will personally be responsible for delivering 'great pain' to his whole ticket that will be booted also. We are going to enjoy coming for Boss Canale.....soon enough.

Solidarity is that thing that you see nominating you guys out of office. Solidarity is that 87% No vote that sent Canale back to the table with daddy. While Canale has done all he can to talk down to members and pipe the company's message, the membership's network of solidarity is solid and is demanding a fair contract even though he sez we got the 'best he could do' last September. My understanding is that Boss Canale wanted to sign that last deal a couple weeks ago, him and his twotime cronies, but the newbies said no. Boss canale has 'fully blown' lost it and has no 'juice'.
Canale gives Labor a bad name.

To answer your question, I would build solidarity and speak for the members, NOT the company. Canale can take his little 'piss clam' speech about the company stock and jam it. He can take his little 'piss clam' speech of how the environment has changed and stick it. He's the first labor guy that I've ever heard make it sound like making $427 million was a bad thing. He puts the spin on it that the company really lost $80 million since it didn't make the $507 million of the year before. Canale is the enemy and is marked as management. No doubt about it. We will enjoy kicking him back up to the UA board of directors.....and his dog too.
soon enough.

You guys still make me laugh with this no direction slate!

A couple of rough edges have already started to show, and as we get deeper into this, they will be full blown. You really have not changed anything more than exacted vengeance on Cornhole, a guy who deserved it, but after that you are only being set up for the fall!

Hey DA, Randy has to talk down to your because he is 6' 4" and you are tiny Tim 5'. Soliarity is members standing together against the company not hating their union right in the middle of negotiations. Not sure about the reference to Daddy was that your Daddy? Didn't the no vote for the TA that you endorsed to vote down lose the class II stations and average of $45,000. they don't sell real estate like you do. The rest of your comments are unclear and seem angry. He has no juice because your drank all the hater-juice. You give labor a bad name because you are alway against everything no matter what it is you are about division between the east and the west US and United keep stirring the pot T maybe none of us will have jobs when your done. By the way what is a Piss Clam? Tim you are Management because you support them by running down your union as the committee chairman and don't support solidarity, and you still didn't answer what would you do?

Hey Tiny you stated it isn't the experience of the leaders that measure the stick, but rather what the members have experienced. Would you personally have someone nogotiating your contract with no experience because you hate Canale? Is that what you are advocating? The most Senior AGC is Randy Kauhane not your precious Delaney. What is your thing with bowing down?

Unfortunately, in this case, solidarity is standing up against the company and it's company lapdog Randy and his eunichs that are no more than bobbleheads shaking yes. Sometimes it takes solidarity to take a union back over. That's what's happening. Solidarity is standing up against the lies of Randy Canale. Remember, in September he said, 'Your choice will be to vote for this contract or wait till 2009." We pointed it out, not just me, that Randy is a liar and that the company NEEDED a transition and WOULD come back to the table. Why is the company negotiating if it can wait till 2009? Why doesn't Randy point out that the company needs a transition? Why does he lie everytime he puts out a contract?

Why doesn't he point out that fleet service has leverage because the environment has changed in this industry and mergers are ripe? Why? Because Randy is marked as management. I don't hate Randy, I'm just pointing to the scoreboard.
Randy wanted us to sign the last contract and wait till 2011. Why wait till 2011 when we can wait till 2009 or get a fair deal once Al learns to respect fleet service. And if he doesn't learn then NOBODY will be happy, including the investors, pilots, mechanics, stews, or potential merger partners. Screw it all unless Fleet service gets a contract with dignity and respect. Why Can't Canale say that? Because he has been castrated and is the company lapdog.

I am angry and I have a right to be. I'm angry that this company pisses on human beings with its devilish schemes and B*** S*** games. Fleet service is angry and it is good to be angry for justice. Canale isn't angry at fleet service getting pissed on, he's angry that fleet service doesn't give the company what it desperately wants.

As far as the last TA is witness to itself, the vast majority let it rest in peace.

I treat everyone the same, it's called equality. Most know who you are
stop hiding behind the man image. People talk and that's how (word gets around).
You should have not have done some of the things you've done, then you wouldn't worry about
what people say about you. The issue at hand is a fair contract, and you support someone
who won't fight for a fair contract.

Just another member of cheap suites, james bond girls

When you say everyone do you include your wife mother daughter sister and girlfriend? word does get around

By the way what is a Piss Clam?

Here is your answer

This Piss clam goes by quite a few different names, including Manninose, piss-clam, long-neck clam, steamer, Ispwich clam, and belly warmer clam and the new found Weak shelled Canale Clam The soft-shell clam has shells that are very thin compared to those of a hard clam. The shells are so thin you can break them easily with your fingers or a average company lawyer. The shells are white and elongated. The entire clam does not fit inside the shell; the siphon or snout (or neck) hangs out to get chopped off.

So when I read thats a Piss Clam Contract its saying your lame minded leaders endorse weak contracts that is thin compared to a Hard Clam Contract which would refer to a contract which would offer solid protection.

That concludes our science lesson for today

To the mods: I don't take offence of Liberace calling me names so no big deal.

To answer your question KA...to be honest with you and not meaning to sound crude, I would have daffy duck negotiate for me over Randy Canale. Randy is the equivalent of my 8th grade math teacher that had alot of time in his job but really sucked at what he did.

At any rate, can you define the word experience for me and exactly how Randy has benefited the members?

FWIW: I have to go grill some burgers so don't think it rude if I don't post again for an hour.

You give labor a bad name because you are always against everything, no matter what it is. You are about division between the east and the west, US and United. Keep stirring the pot T. Wow,
Now isn't that a little easier to read?
and that concludes our english lesson also!

The correct spelling is soliDarity. You would not know that because you, like the rest of the regime, helped sell out and create the Class I Vs. Class II "solidarity" of the last contract. United we stand, divided we fall--- Unless we can sell enough out to find the votes. The Canale led "SOLIDARITY" is why I am making $15.76 (after my 16 raise) while the hub PHL is making $17.52 after TWO raises. You as a woman should hate to find ANYONE making less for the same work, but I guess that is too far back in the history books for you. No glass ceiling for you, just a wooden desk...

Solidarity:union arising from common responsiblites and interests as betwenn members of a group or between classes. So what was the lie vote vs wait? Is he negotiating for the west we voted our TA down. Please tell us what is this leverage that only you are aware of? You are marked as management because you are supporting them with all this nonsense. I'm sure Randy has said all those things to the company and I vote that you go in and negotiate a better contract for all of us.
