IAM Nominations and Results

I overheard Canale at the PHL meeting asking the lodge president (Boland)
to let the local know that the ''Negotiation Team '' will be meeting in PHL at
the end of Feb. with the company.

The announcement was not made as there was an election taking place at the
same time. This is a desperate attempt by a desperate man to sway the votes.
If it could be done than do it. Post it on the site and hang it up don't throw it out
at a nomination meeting.

This is the same local president that Canale tried to oust in Sep-Oct when the TA was
not supported by him. This is the same local pres. that ran unopposed the following
month to regain his seat...(he was temporarily removed and replaced). Canale is a sad
person who will be reassigned in the IAM machine and continue to make his $$$. They
owe him...We Do Not !!

Vote for a Change.....Thank You to everyone in supporting a new direction.
I look forward to seeing a new team looking out for the membership and not
thier own objectives.

Thanks

Election Update: LAS

LAS Votes unanimously for The NEW DIRECTION TEAM [Delaney Team]. All UA members voted with Canale, along with the US easties who didn't stick with their LAS US WEST Brothers and sisters. At any rate, The good guys [as represented by the US WEST brothers and sisters ] won by 2-1 all across the board. Shame on the US EAST guys there who were pimped time and time again by Canale and still took it up the butt once again for Parker's boy. Any second class city voting for Canale [See US EAST] should have its head examined.

Unfortunately for Parker's boy, he was there in LAS and experienced 'great pain' as the US AIRWAYS team has now accomplished the 'Hat Trick' 3 hubs voting against him. Once CLT goes, it will be the "GRAND SLAM" with all 4 US AIRWAYS hubs, Bit## Slapping Parker's boy.

I'll have SLC, IAH, OKC later tonight

regards,

Tim Nelson

I thought I heard a loud noise must have been those incumbent's falling over in shock once again!

You guys are doing a heck of a good job keep up the good work!

ELection Update IAH,

Canale's slate wins 1-0.

BB, a member on our ticket flew to IAH and stayed overnight at his close friend's place who was suppose to nominate the whole Delaney slate. Turns out MS starts pouring tears and crying up a literal river so the guy [his friend] flips like a pancake and nominates the whole Canale slate. He was the only eligible voter but this is how it goes, but this is the most bizarre vote I've heard of so far. Academy award to MS and the double crossing friend. Nobody from US AIRWAYS showed up.

It's time we get some guys with balls in some of the smaller cities. Those same small cities like DFW, BWI, JAX, EWR, etc., are getting so hosed over by Canale that if they turn around and nominate him then they are saying it's ok to be second class. Bottom line.

Canale is picking up some of these bitsy stations but for nomination purposes they count just as much as the 6,000 member ORD local.

ELECTION UPDATE: SLC
Delaney's team wins SLC

Hey Tim,
Does US east have fleet service in IAH? west fleet is one of our contracted out cities! Keep the info coming!
Thanks!

Hey all...not a huge poster on this board, but I'm definately a reader. I wanted to take a moment to thank those in PHX who were so hospitable to myself and my co-worker. We had the distinct pleasure of meeting many in PHX today who are truly the heart beat of the ramp there. For those on this board who did not know, Canale's boys were in PHX yesterday trying to drum up support. Well, PHX gave all of them a serious BI**H SLAP, as Nelson would say, and sent them on their merry way.
I said it earlier today and I'll say it again....PHX you are the key right now, everyone is watching you, this company is very scared of you right now because they know you have the power. We are all in this together and with our solidarity we will over come what ever obstacles pop up. Hang in there and know we have your back.

Why the hell does everything happen when Im in school?

Ive only had a chance to get to one rally so far. I would have given ANYTHING to watch that guy get tossed out like my friend at the bar after too many drinks.

DISTRICT 141 NOMINATIONS..................................HISTORY IN THE MAKING

Just read the 141 web page, looks like negotiations are on for the end of the month.
What's interesting is the second paragraph, not sure what to make of it.
" cheap suites " beating
by Delaney may be forcing canale to make a move to preserve
the belly warmer's future position with the district ( word gets around).

The wording leads me to believe either a deal is already cut or negotiations will be called off
and the west brothers transitioned into the east contract as is.

I heard pf is reserving a rubber room, doesn't want to return to the phl ramp. Frankie O will
help him out...............out of office that is.

A talk of what's happening with second paragraph of cheap suites letter to the membership?

In the first week the New Direction was nominated by 9 Locals including United's hubs in ORD & DEN, USAir's hubs in PHL, PHX, LAS. This team is sweeping the nation. Get onboard for change.

What's with cheap suites new letter, is it a threat letter?

UPDATE ON "SIDEBAR" NEGOTIATIONS FOR FLEET

Some disturbing news came my way today that I will share with you. Apparently, Boss Canale met with the company in some capacity without the negotiations team and a new plan was worked out to try to scare workers into voting Yes on a new but only slightly improved contract. Supposedly, the plan is to give the appearance that Canale will give the company what it needs [transition agreement] by circumventing the membership without a vote, if the membershp rejects the upcoming TA.
According to my info, the Parker/Canale plan will be to announce the new TA and try to manufacture the choice as either a choice to vote for the contract OR a choice to merge west in with east and then wait till 2009.

He does this crap all the time and talks down to the members and then lies to them on what their 'no' vote means. He even spins contract rejections. Remember, each TA we have ever had, Canale has tried to define what the alternative will be if you vote no. Always lies. For instance, in September, he said,

"Your choice will be between accepting the proposed changes now, or waiting for traditional negotiations to resume in 2009." Boss Canale, August 10, iam141.org statement

That was a lie as the company already came back to negotiate. It's not either/or. It's accepting a contract with dignity and respect or rejecting a contract as inequitable.

Canale doesn't have the confidence of the membership and is in a political mess with his elections since he hasn't taken care of United or US AIRWAYS members. He's not going to commit political suicide for him and his ticket and screw 8,000 workers over without a vote. He'll be back to the table until he is kicked back up to management where he belongs AND any no votes will just be another rejection that will force US AIRWAYS to respect the ramp once and for all with a fair contract.

Ask yourself, if you have a contract till 2009 then why is the company coming back to negotiate? Is it because it's a 'nice fella' or is it because you have something that the company wants and needs because of pending merger scenerios? And what will change if you vote another contract down? Nothing will change. However, alot will change if you vote in a new contract that doesn't offer better protections going through the storm of mergers. Remember, in mergers, thousands get laid off. No contract should be signed without guaranteeing current stations. I'm not talking about guarantees if they have so many flights. I'm talking about losing the class 1 and class 2 station designations. If it's an IAM station currently then it's an IAM station for the duraton of the contract.

Remember, they want to 'hoodwink' fleet service first with crumbs, then give the mechanics more, then the pilots. I mean why is the company always 'hellbent' on negotiating with fleet service first in good times? It's because it has been spoiled to expect fleet service to flop over so that it can give mechanics more, and then the pilots the most. Nothing against those brothers and sisters but unless fleet service gets a contract with dignity and respect then nobody wins.
