got to remember the IAM has lost of thousands of members in the last 5 years so there trying to drum up buisness

but unfortunately with the people they have organizing (liberace) you can see why they haven't been to successful

they can't get an uneducated union person to join what makes (LIBERACE) think they get people educated on the Canale school of unionism to follow her.

What do you mean First class is full? I want to switch my seat? How come I have to pay for my extra bag? How come my flight is late!

Just a few things she can look towards when she goes back to the real world!

Oh yeah and heck of a smaller paycheck that she will have to work for......

Canoli told LAS that if he was not nominated out of LAS, then he would force the West into the East's CBA, and those 19 stations were going to be outsourced.

I never heard that. What I DID hear was that if the TA was not voted on with a pass, West would roll into the East contract, as Canale wasn't going to "drag" this out lany longer. I heard no mention of the contract being connected with his nomination or lack thereof.

Anyone know why they don't have the nominations all in the same week or even days apart? Is it the LLC decision or does the Itn'l prearrange it so the encumbents can be at each local or have a rep there in their place.?

It's part of the IAM bylaws or Constitution. If you think about it, it actually makes some sense. Every month each Local has a meeting scheduled. In many cases that location isnt always available EXCEPT on the scheduled day. This effectivly guarantees an available period for nominations. US had nothing to do with it. I doubt it has to do with the incumbants either, as a new candidate benefits the same.

Northwest is District 143 so it doesnt apply to matters of District 141

I think you guys are jumping the gun a bit on GS making an appointment. Us Local Chairman do not have the authority to appoint a committee person, we can only appoint shop stewards. Your Local Eboard will do this.

Tim I know that what they are supposed to do, but if you ask for the names of committee people you will be given a list of more than the individuals elected. Apparently a list was made by GS of all of these people that he chose for committee people.
